I'm always amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my well-being. They do have amenities here, which I really enjoyed. You can tell they want every guest to have an all-inclusive experience. Great Gym.

The owner Kevin Kraft is greedy and a liar. He will make promises to get you to sign a year contract and never fulfill his obligation. Then he'll lie and blatantly deny he ever made any promises. He would rather get new contracts by offering discounts than take care of his long-term members. Also, good luck canceling your membership. They make it extremely difficult. I'd rather throw my money out the car window than give it to this arrogant jerk.

Very Disappointing. I was a member here many years ago and moved away from the area. I have since moved back and was going to give them another try when I saw that they were offering a livingsocial I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try them out again. They outright refused to honor their livingsocial because at one time, years ago I was a member. This is just poor business practice. I will go back to Fitness Connection.

Be careful with the way this gym works. I was a bit leary when I could not pay upfront in full for my yearly membership but I thought that it would be fine as long as the contract states a 30 day cancellation notice. Well here is the thing. I first sent an email explaining that I would like to cancel membership and give 30 day notice. I figured they would send me back confirmation, bill me for another 30 days, and I would be done. Later that day the associate emailed back stating that a signed cancellation letter needs to be done for both my membership and my wifes. Ok, I typed out 2 cancellation letters and my wife met me at work to sign hers. I called the office and asked where I could FAX these in to to get the process started and she said she could not accept a faxed letter either. She said I could come into the gym and fill out cancellation paperwork and sign it on site and that each of us has to do so even though I was the only one being billed for both memberships or send out two seperate certified letters requesting cancellation for each membership. I asked to speak to Kevin Craft the owner twice as I have met him several times in the local area and he refused to take my phone call. Basically they will make it as hard as they can to cancel your membership when you decide to do so that you will wonder why you ever did business with this place to begin with. I will never recommend another person to this gym and will tell everyone I know not to deal with this establishment or Kevin Kraft in the future. Try Charlotte Sports and Fitness around the corner, Anytime Fitness in Huntersville, or Huntersville Aquatic and Fitness before going to this place. Trust me I still have 3 local gym memberships in the area and have never gone through anything like this to cance a membership....

My experience at the new and improved Gold's Gym - once Peak Fit-"MESS" - is a strong (no pun intended) solid gym to belong to. Owner and management are always there and ready to tackle any problems that come up.

The employees are great, they are there to support any questions you may have, make you a delicious shake, ensure clean towels are available, check you in if you don't have your pass, answer phones - very basic things not to disarm your guard because you don’t feel like being there.
All of the employees are a direct reflection of management, they are there to provide a service which they are passionate about, it’s not just about the money. They are all nice people - extend yourself and others will do the same.

In the end you get what you pay for and the price is commensurate with what you get. The change has been very positive in fact it has weeded out all of the negative. We are fortunate to have such a great place to work out now, be thankful and stop complaining about the things you can change yourself.

Thank You Golds Gym & Staff,
LD

The staff at this gym is completely ill-mannered. Their behavior is not only unprofessional, it is rude. I have waited for a change but now I must write a review.
One staff member named Matt (Not Matt S. who used to work there) has no idea how to speak politely. Instead it seems as if the quality of his day dictates how he behaves towards members. This is not the only poor interaction I have had with staff at the gym. Quite simply the staff is horrible.

If you want to work out someplace positive look elsewhere.
