Follow-up-I spoke to Devra and I see it was a big misunderstanding. We were never given a contract, and, as we had seen them write us down in the calendar and had been told she would be there, we took this to mean we were booked. The makeup she did at the trial was beautiful, and I have no doubt she does gorgeous work. Additionally, having spoken to her, I know she and her staff are working to make sure this never happens again. We are being reimbursed for the makeup trial.

I used Devra Bader for my wedding also and i found her to be so fantastic , i looked like a princess, she was on time, reliable and does a wonderful job of making you feel beautiful! and relaxed especially on my wedding day...i read the other persons review and not to miniumize her review i just feel like she was in the wrong i kept in constant contact with the devra bader spa checking in periodically as i did with all my other vendors i hired for my wedding and maybe this other reviewer should have done the same. I find it highly unlikely that Devra would take off to albany and leave a Bride in the lurch..sounds fishy to me
and furthermore my friends who recommeded her to me had an awesome experience as well and i know many people who go to her spa and get great service....i dont get that review at all
and i don't think its nice to write something like that when as a customer i feel that reviewer was in the wrong...don't you check to see if everything is running accordingly during your wedding preparations, so i think that review is not a real one and i would ignore im sorry if i sound rude but its a fishy review
and i dont believe it happened as a person who had an wonderful experience with Devra Bader i would not pay attention to that persons review as it makes so sense!
i rate this spa and Devra Bader a 10 +
