So here I was going to get contact lenses. I showed up at the appointment and saw the doctor. AFTER he did all the exam work--which was no different than any other exam I have had with an eye doctor--I am sitting there in the chair and he says "the exam is going to cost you $300- and the contacts will cost you $275."
My jaw dropped to the floor. I mean, these are outrageous prices! He told me he was using the "best" contact lenses but c'mon, Ive bought them before (regular standard lenses, nothing fancy) and they ran me only $54 each.
I paid the exam bill, but about the contact lenses? Forget it! I'll get the prescription and take it elsewhere to be filled, thank you very much.
