I would have to disagree with these positive comments on Dr. Sandersons practice. I do think Dr. Sanderson is a very nice person, and very good at what he does, but I had a horrible experience with him multiple times. He has a very nice office and a lot of impressive technology that looks very fancy and I can def see how someone would feel comfortable there. I first went to Dr. Sanderson to get established since I moved here recently and he was highly recommend. The first time i went I spent about 2-3 hours there getting x-rays and pictures taken from all different angles. It at first seemed thourough and made me feel like they really cared. Then I got my bill, and it was $290 out of pocket not covered by insurance. So I just went with it. Looking back, I see it was all about the money and not nessacery at all. Next visit I went for my regular cleaning. Well I meet with Dr. Sanderson first, and he proceed to up sell me on some dumb sounding mouth wash that cost a couple hundred dollars and sounded like a dumb idea. I respectfully declined. After what I thought was a regular cleaning, which is covered a 100% by my insurance because it's preventitive, I found out that I had a bill for $130 because they did a "deep cleaning" and that was not covered by insurance, and I had never asked for a "deep cleaing" nor was I told there would be an additional charge. So ofcourse I went with it. They wanted me to come back in 3 weeks to get another cleaning......No thanks! The last staw was I had a chipped lower molar that I've had for 2 years, and it never bothered me, not once, no pain, could eat normally, everything was fine. Well he convinced me to get it fixed with a filling and then it would be fine. I said a previous Dentist told me that I would need a root canal to fix it, so there for I just wanted to leave it alone until I had to do something for me. He assured me that, that was crazy and I would be fine.....well right before he starts working on it, he says "well after this hopefully you won't need a root canal"! I said you told me I def wouldn't need one, and he said we'll see. Bottom line to all this blabbing is that I got my chipped tooth that didn't hurt filled, and now I am in constant pain! I can't chew anything harder than soft bread on the right side of my mouth, and when I do forget to chew on my left side and bit down on my right side the pain is unbearable! I did it off his recommendation, when I didn't have to do anything at all, and all he did was over charge me for a proceedure that made things worse for me! I will never go back to him again and I def don't recommend him to anyone! All he cares about is getting you into his office as much as possible and constantly tries to up sell you on stuff you don't need! I Should of never got my tooth fixed! Now I'm paying for it in more than one way.
