I first met Dr. Firestone when I had a filling fall out from a previous dentist. I was going on a ski trip that weekend and I needed to find a dentist immediately. However, this was a weekend and most dentist offices aren’t open. Saturday or not, I had to try and find one! So, I opened up the Yellow Pages, (yes, the Yellow Pages) I called every dentist in the book-and every office was closed or would not see me. I keep trying and finally reached Dr. Firestone’s office and pleaded my case like the last 20 calls. The front desk said “the doctor was on his way out and they were closed.” I lowered my head in defeat, as I put down the phone, I heard the lady on the other end of the phone say.. “You know what? he just overheard us and said, “he loves skiing” so come on in and he will wait for you.

Dr. Firestone is not only a dentist but a creative, charming and passionate person. You will notice this when you first come to his office. He has created a wonderful environment of artistic expression. The office has water falls and art sculptures throughout the property. When you enter his office, which by the way is not your typical high rise, but a independent building that’s more like a house. As you enter the office, you will notice his amazing photography displayed on the walls. HIs pictures allow us just a glimpse behind Dr. Firestones creative eye. His personal photography showcase’s everything from flowers to his tour of duty in Vietnam.

Dr. Firestone's experience in the dental field is well known throughout the medical community. Others call him “The Magician” because the magic he can do with difficult teeth. Trust me, I’ve had first-hand experience with his magic touch. Its not an illusion. He has done wonders making my teeth healthy.

Dr. Firestone goes above and beyond the normal type of dentist. I needed gum surgery, he showed up and worked with the oral surgeon. He sat with me during the entire surgery. With over 50 years being a dentist he has been around the block. He has been a soldier and a dentist during the Vietnam war. He has not only worked on American soldiers during war time, but healing the local Vietnamese villagers and their children. His professional ability is only surpassed by his humanity.

Dr. Firestone’s ability crosses international borders and back to the the San Fernando Valley. He will never recommend unnecessary dental procedures or make you feel bad for not flossing enough. When you first meet him… you'll probably call him Dr. Firestone, but soon enough, you’ll be like everybody else - and just call him - your friend.

Give David (Dr. Firestone) a call and let the magic begin!

Be carfull! Watch out! WARNING: NOT A BLUE CROSS PROVIDER!!!

I do not recommend this dental office. Totally took advantage of me and my girlfriend. Before we made our appointment we called and asked if Dr. David Firestone's office was a Blue Cross Provider, Lelani who is the office manager (She calls herself Rita on the phone if she it trying to avoid your call, we found out later) told us that they were in indeed a Blue Cross Provider. So we pulled the trigger and made appointments for that upcoming Saturday.

When we arrived we explained that our Blue Cross dental plans were limited, but provided us with 2 free dental cleaning per year and covered 100%. We were told by Lalani "No problem". After our cleanings were performed, we were told they could not reach our insurance company because it was a Saturday, but that we were all set. We thanked them and headed on our way. Two weeks later we received a bill for the cleanings. It turns out they ARE NOT A BLUE CROSS PROVIDER!!!

I called Lalani personally to find out what the deal was, and she then stated "Oh, we accept all PPO's...but we are not an ACTUAL Blue Cross Provider, you must have misunderstood."

In our opinion there was nothing to misunderstand, we called and asked first, we explained the 100% covered teeth cleanings, they said we were all good. That is just BAD BUSINESS!!! Why would we ever choose to go to someone that is not in our network when we get 100% coverage in network. It's misrepresentation, and it's wrong.

We have called on several occasions to clear this up and Lalani has been rude, laughed at us, over talked us, and has even yelled and hung up the phone. We are thinking it's a possible chemical imbalance, because it just doesn't make any sence. When I recently asked her for an email address, because we felt this might be a more rational means of communication, she stated there was no email address. To date the issue still has not ben resolved.

During my most recent call Lalani ,or Rita as she was claiming to be, stated there was nothing my insurance company could do to help me and that I must pay the bill or they were sending it to collections. She said it like she had said that statement a thousand times. This leads me to believe this is a pretty regular scam going on at Ol' Dr. Firestone's office. This would also explain why the "no email adress" response. That way nothing is documented.

We have been forced to file complaints with the Attorney General's Office and The Better Business Bureau

We recommend steering clear of Dr. David Firestone! There are a lot of honest businesses out there, this is just not one of them.

Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. Not only do my appointments never get canceled last minute, they take time out of their day to send me a reminder so I don't forget. They are extremely reliable. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Not only are they recommended by other dentists, other dentists are always calling asking for advice. I know that I'm under the care of an expert. They keep the restrooms well-stocked here, and not just with the basics. There is mouthwash, lotion and other amenities. You can tell they want their clients to be as comfortable as possible.

They had a huge selection of magazines in the waiting room. I was able to find some of my favorites and they kept me entertained while I was waiting for my appointment. It is obvious that their office is cleaned regularly. It was fantastic. They took the time to explain in detail plenty of techniques I could practice at home to prevent cavities and tooth decay. I've already told my friends and family about the fantastic experience I had there. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better.
