This has been the absolute WORST customer service experience I have EVER encountered. First, I will say that Dr. Lee did great work on my husband. But the issues that came afterwards with the billing department and the rest of the non clinical staff has been awful. They had my husband pay an outrageous amount up front for two visits and the work he had done, after insurance went through and we got the bills WE were owed almost $200. So my husband called, faxed papers and I became involved when I went in and picked up the check. Which was not right when I went in to pick it up, it was short our money that was owed. Billing told me that they are not able to give the rest of the amount until they see our papers for proof... How does the billing department not have proof?!?.... So i said i did not want the check they were trying to give me because it was wrong. They say because they already wrote it out then I should just take it and when they receive copies of the rest of the bills then they would fix it. even with having a bad feeling about this, I took it. ( my BIG mistake) . My husband then faxes in more papers to prove the money we are owed, because again somehow they have no record of this... We call back to check on the status, I am told that they don't have any new papers in his chart. ?!!? So I ask to speak with someone, I am then told that I can't talk with anyone but the lady that gave me the first check and she wouldn't be back until later that day, and that I have to fax the paperwork again. NO ONE ELSE WAS WILLING TO HELP. So i fax the papers AGAIN, and i call back to make sure they got there... no answer ( I am beginning to think they are avoiding me) call back AGAIN later..... I am told they got them and would call me back by the end of the day. What do you know, no call. I call back later that night before close and I am told to hold. FOR 10 MINUTES, and no one had the courtesy to pick up the phone to tell me why I am waiting. A week goes by ( because of the holiday i let it slide. A couple of days ago I call back 3 times before someone can update me on what is going on. I am then told the check is ready and the amount is WRONG AGAIN! AND I have to come in and get it because I have to sign something... probably more paperwork they don't keep track of. So I ask to speak with someone else because this has been handled horribly wrong. Another women tells me that I have to bring in the check that I was given a month ago in order to get the total amount of money ( big mistake , I can not find it and am afraid it was thrown out.. I was not going to risk cashing it and loosing out on the rest of the money we are owed). So then I am told we would be charged 35$ if I can not bring in the check, because they have to do a stop payment on it. NOT HAPPENING.... I have chased our refund for a month and a half. I spoke with 2 women, all saying this is our policy, and were COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. How could things be handled this way? I am convinced that there is some sort of scam going on here. There are plenty of complaints on here about being charged outrageous amounts and being told insurance covers something and then it doesn't. This is not how you run any business. Finally, the KICKER!...... I was so dissatisfied on how the women I spoke with were handling the situation that I asked to speak with someone in charge/ someone higher up... I get put on hold. THEN.. I am told to call corporate and I can find the number by using GOOGLE. Yes, you heard that right, I asked her if she really just told me, as a customer, to google the number for corporate , and she said yes because she didn't have the number. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. No one educated could possibly be working in billing or anywhere else in the front of that office. I feel bad for the Dr.'s and dental assistants that have gained a bad reputation all because of the unprofessional behavior that occurs in that office. WORST experience. Now I am waiting for my husband to try one more time to speak with the Dr. or Corporate to call me back or I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and taking this matter way farther. This isn't about a small amount of money anymore, this is about how you treat people. I hope if it goes that far that this will help others from being screwed in the future.
