As an adult I have had my fair share of tooth aches and extractions. I have never seen a professional act so poorly. Especially towards a child. We were advised to come to Dr. Nuckols because he is approved for Kentucky Unbridled Spirit insurance. My daughter is only 10 years old and she has special needs. She is (Like many children) terrified of needles. At the first mention of a needle my daughter became upset. And yes, slightly more so than many would. BUT for him to to say " Shut up, no one has a needle in their hand" seems very unprofessional and it is VERY rude! He had no care and I don't know if he even took the time to read her files. (That say she has an emotional problem- that she can not help) And told us "well you might as well take her home" and he literally walked away. The nurse (with darker hair- a very pretty lady) was trying to help calm my daughter down and she was very nice!!! She seemed to have patience and some knowledge of children. The dentist himself....HA- I would not recommend him to an enemy. I would stay as far away as possible if you have children!!!!!!!! Now my daughter was crying and shaking- but she was not screaming or anything! She did NOT deserve to be treated that way! No one does! To boot we drove from Oak Grove KY all the way out here- which is a very boring and long commute! He may be a wonderful person to do an extraction on an adult and personally if I were the patient and I was in pain I could care less if he was nice or not but only if he is good at what he does. But as far as children are concerned he should have a sign out front that say children are not accepted here! The office did seem clean. The front desk receptionist was very nice. And the bathroom was out dated but served it's purpose! (which the bathroom matched the dentist!)
