The hygenist is awesome, I was referred to Dr Aso's office by a long time patient of his, and I am very pleased with the services that I have received from him and his staff.

i don't hate this dentist, i like him!! I love how attentive they are here. Even when notified that they have a personal phone call, they always wait to take it later. Their full attention is always on me and it makes me feel special. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. The chair that I sat in during my dental procedure was so comfortable. It was honestly one of the most comfortable chairs I've ever been in. When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen.

I have been a patient of Dr. Aso's for a very long time. I think that the previous reviewer must have gone to a completely different dentist than the Dr. Aso or Jerry as his regular patients' call him. Dr. Aso is a very skilled, kind, and gentle natured man. He has received" TOP Dentist in Portland" for the past two years. I think his receptionist is very good at what she does and I always know what I can expect my insurance to pay and what I'll owe in the end. If you want a good dentist, I sugggest you make a relationship with the dentist and his staff. If you go skipping around from office to office you never get the same quality care that you would get from someone you have a long term relationship with. Get to know one another and you willl get along fine. I truat Dr. Aso with my dental care as well as all my children's. FYI, Dr. Aso has parking reserved for his patient's, you just go to the 4th floor and park in his reserved places, no problem.

overcharged twice. told me i needed 3 fillings and how much it would cost (approx. $500), then they did 4 and charged me $700 for 4 small fillings. acted like i was a liar when i confronted them about what they had previously told me. i didn't get anything in writing because i trusted them and the receptionist was out the day they quoted me for the 3 fillings and no one knew how to print out the proper forms. the dentist also left to see another patient in the middle of the procedure while i had a wedge keeping my mouth open and plastic covering my face. couldn't breathe well. had never had a cavity in my life and suddenly had 4 after getting a couple cleanings there. receptionist rude, cold, and becomes irritated if you want to really discuss the bill. the most rude and completely not compassionate medical receptionist i have ever met. seems like she was getting off on frustrating me and charging me as much as she could. the first time the doctor did an exam before taking xrays and then did another exam after the xrays and charged me for both exams. lost lots of sleep thinking about what a bad experience it was and feeling ripped off. no discount for paying cash, i don't have insurance. not really sure if i even needed the fillings. i guess it's my fault for trusting people to be honest. make sure you get everything in writing and itemized receipts. also no parking due to them sharing a parking garage with 24 hour fitness. allow at least an extra hour to realize that there are no spaces in the parking garage,pay to park on the street 5 blocks away and walk to the office. hope your experience is better than mine.
