I want to start with saying that I have always had a great experience with Lancaster Dental while Dr. Bruce Boer was running things. To say that I was a long time patient must be considered, I have been going to Lancaster Dental since 1984-85. In all of that time there has not been a problem waiting for insurance to pay their part of the bill before I had to pay my part and what was nice about Dr. Boer’s office you could pay it off in a few months (interest was paid) and everything was fine. Dr. Boar has retired and now a Dr. Jason Bajuscak is in charge. I have never dealt with him or the staff he has replaced until now. Out of the blue I receive a threatening letter from their billing department telling me that they had tried to contact us “multiple times” and that they were sending me to collections. This was a complete surprise to me because I had been a patent of Dr. Boers for almost 30 years. Also the notice that contact attempts had been made was false. Other than an invoice last month that made nothing was sent to us; and to top things off, a payment for more than half the outstanding bill wasn’t posted for almost a week, the day after the threats of a collection agency was made. If this is the way this new doctor will be running the practice, I have serious doubts that I will continue this organization as my provider.
