We visited this provider today, because my wife and son and I had an appointment we booked a week ago. Dr. Gantt was a no-show at her own office, and never bothered to call to tell us she wasn't coming. Really professional. NOT.

My husband I had a very negative experience with Gantt. We were not in a good place in our marriage at the time we saw her, which is why we were seeking the help. I am now basing my judgement of her service by comparing it to the help we have since received that has worked well in saving our marriage and strengthening our relationship. The difference is the new MFT has displayed objectivity and jumped to focusing on the accountability of our own actions (my actions and my husband's actions, how we each are accountable for ourselves and our own actions/reactions), whereas Gantt seemed to sit back, watch things fall apart, and take sides as she saw fit. After we visited her a couple time, I began to have panic attacks. There were things that she said that made both of us feel defensive and belittled.

I recently saw Lynda Gantt. After spending about 30 minutes with her sharing my history, I was shocked when I questioned her about my medication and she said I should ask my ObGyn (I am pregant) but she had no input on changing or increasing my medicine despite the anguish I've recently been experiencing. She said my homework for the week was to tell myself everyday that "I will grow up." I saw another psychiatrist today who spent 2 1/2 hours with me. He said based on my history and current symptoms, he is 100% sure I suffer from bipolar disorder. He immediatley upped the medication I am on and said we will add some other medication after the baby is born. I cannot express enough the relief I feel that I have hope and a brighter future based on a correct diagnosis which I know is right because he described me to a T. I hate to think of the future I would have had if I had trusted this woman and not sought another opinion. I hope her potential patients will read this and reconsider seeing her because she is doing the psychiatric profession and the people seeking help a huge disservice.
