Dr. Shapiro is amazing. He is warm and funny and understanding. He doesn't use a lot of "psychology speak" jargon even though he is incredibly smart. He really engages you and your issues and helps me run my own life so much more effectively. I am so much happier since I have him to discuss things with. If you can imagine what a real supportive psychologist in their best incarnation would be, like in the movies, that person we'd all like to find, I think it would look like Dr. Shapiro. I feel very grateful that he has been there for me.

Dr. Shapiro has saved my marriage. He listened to our concerns and allowed us to understand each other on a deeper level. We learned to communicate better and feel we can always return to see him for a few sessions if a problem should arise. He was attentive, empathic, and wonderful.

Dr, Shapiro is probably a qualified and excellent therapist for specific issues but he continued to try and help us knowing our issues were not his speciality and therefore did not address the underlying problems of the marriage. I finally gave up. He admitted he did not have the qualifications to help with our issues but didn't refer us to anybody and continued to give advice and probe behaviors that he didn't fully understand. it was quite frustrating and things are much worse than when we started seeing him. It is hard to understand why he continued to think he could be successful when admittedly not qualified.
