This is a great therapist, hands down. So many to choose from. She's a gem. Experienced, knowledgeable & professional. Helped me a lot. She's a voice of reason and cares a lot about her patients.
I could tell that there was pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen. I have already given them recommendations to many people I know. She really went above and beyond and impressed me very much. She were so easy to reach in an emergency. I felt that she really valued my health and happiness.
Skilled professional with a heart. Intuitive, came highly recommended and met my expectations. I was terrified to start therapy again after several years hiatus and Joanie helped me a lot. She's straight forward, direct, insightful and helped me unlock many of the answers I've had questions to.
Can confidently recommend. Office is in a professional environment, parking is sometimes difficult but I always leave a few extra minutes.
After seeing three other therapists, I was referred to Joanie Arnold, LCSW by my doctor. Ms. Arnold was the best therapist I've seen so far. She seemed to really understand me and my feelings. My anxiety and depression has improved so much since starting with her. I recommend her highly and am so pleased to have found her. As an aside, her office is nice, professional and very easy to find which is always a plus.
They are WAY overbooked and the staff is clearly overworked and not always that pleasant. I've never been in there when the waiting rooms weren't packed with a bunch of very aggravated people. They seem to be more concerned about quantity of business over quality. Every time I've called and left a message, I've never heard back. It's extremely annoying. My appointments don't usually get canceled here, but it's not unheard of either. I never know, it's usually a 50-50 chance. They seemed like they were using fairly modern treatment methods and procedures, but I'm not really sure.
Joanie Arnold was the most supportive and non-judgemental therapist I have had in many years of therapy in and around NY. She got me through one of the toughest times of my life, and I wouldn't be here now if I hadn't been referred to her by a trusted friend. I owe her far more than what I paid her for the therapy. I have already recommended her to my friends, going through tough times, but I wanted to be sure I posted a review for others to take advantage of her truly singular service and her gifted way of giving people exactly what they need to transition through life's roughest patches.
Dr. Arnold is the most compassionate, focused, and astute analyst I have seen in 30 years as a mental health consumer. She surpasses the skill levels of the chief psychologists at all the major teaching hospitals in the metro NYC area, and delivers services with humility, and compassion over and over again. I can't imagine a better option, and recommend her without reservation.
