Very dangerous man. Often sessions are him lecturing or going on about his professional, artistic, financial and sexual accomplishments. The promise of huge improvement in your life by taking his advice is very confusing. Inappropriate contact with patients outside of sessions, encouraging enmeshment, and drug use. He pressures clients to participate in expensive evening sessions which are unhelpful and untherapeutic on the premise that they are all necessary to improve your life.
Stay away from this guy. He has his own screwy agenda and does not listen to the patient. He comes across as arrogant and goes overboard pushing his group therapy. Manipulative.
I would NOT recommend Dr. Sulkin's services. I found his methods to be ineffective. He spent more time feeding his own ego than helping. The majority of sessions were spent listening to him tell stories from his past. He showed little to no interest in what I came to see him about. Any advice he offered was based on assumptions that he made about me, my significant other, or my family.
