Very expensive for patients without insurance. Cash price is $140.00 for a short office visit, more if the listen to your chest or take blood pressure. This is a $140 to see a PA not a Doctor.

If you are taking any controlled substances you will be required to make a monthly visit with labs to get your 30 day scrip renewed.

I had stage 2 breast cancer. Surgery was at 5 AM on 5/8/18. On 5/7//18, I had to get approval for surgery from primary, Dr Carlos Porter, who I never met.

Day was rough for me, probably just stress. But, Porter treated me w/belligerence & arrogance to point that I was in tears. Suddenly, he gets up from chair, says he doesn’t have to put up w/ this, orders me out, & threatens to call police. Did anyone miss that part? Threatened to call police.

My husband tries to talk to him & is told he must leave because he’s threatening. He hasn’t even lifted a finger. Police come & were terrific. In fact, female officer told dickhead doc that this was very unfortunate incident that didn’t have to happen We get a warning to not trespass.

Please, anyone who lives in San Antonio or New Braunfels area, don’t go to Carlos Porter. He has no business being a doctor.

They didn't display their qualifications. It made me nervous. Their office looked like the cleaning crew may have skipped a week. I was glad that they were located in a safe neighborhood. I've been to some other places where I was scared to get out of my car but not here. It was very clear that they didn't take pride in their office's appearance. In fact, the office was disgusting. They are WAY overbooked and the staff is clearly overworked and not always that pleasant. I've never been in there when the waiting rooms weren't packed with a bunch of very aggravated people. They seem to be more concerned about quantity of business over quality.
