I tried to make an appointment today. Apparently they closed, the place is for sale and I never got a letter indicating they are closing and no information about getting records sent to a new Dr. There are no phone numbers or contact information on the building, just a for sale sign. I was a contented patient for over 10 years, I am upset and disappointed they didn't contact me ( and, most likely, all other patients) about this. Tomorrow I will have to talk some unknown new provider into an appointment right away, not in weeks and weeks for a new patient appointment.

After making several phone calls and getting no answer today (Jan. 2013), I went to Dr. Garcia's Judson office. I found an empty office and a note on the door stating that Dr. Garcia had retired effective mid-December 2012. There was no other information other than a fax number and the obligatory "we apologize for any inconvenience" line. Another disgruntled ex-patient happened to be there as I was reading the note; he stated that the fax number in the note did not work; he had been trying unsuccessfully to get his medical records for over a month. He told me that his new doctor had told him to contact the Texas Medical Board for his records. I received NO letter stating his intention to retire. Having been a patient of Dr. Garcia's for over 10 years, I am grossly insulted at his utter lack of professionalism and courtesy.

I am very distressed right now with this doctor's office. I called yesterday to see if they received the refill request from HEB and they said the office is closed since Dec. 17th. She said they found out the office was closing on the 17th too. The Doctor had to leave , he retired, and was not in the state any longer. I have high blood pressure with no refills and asked if she could call me in a refill so I could find a doctor within the next month. She said no, office closed, no PA or Doctor there. Now I have to find any doctor within 2 days to go as a new patient, to get my medications. No phone calls, no letters sent out to patients, we were left with no information.
