They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. The office was easy enough to find. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. They barely acknowledged me and rushed me in and out of the office.

I went in for occasional panic/anxiety attacks (3 over past 12 months) and ended up with a medication I was to take three times a day. When I attempted to question this, since I thought an "as needed" was more appropriate he justified his choice and started walking out of the room. I stopped him and asked again about why I needed to take a medication everyday, he gave me an explanation why meds like Xanax or similar are bad because they are somewhat habit forming and pose risks for dependence. I trusted his choice and started on Buspirone, 30mg a day. By day two I was anxious and nervous all day long and could not work. I've never had daily or general anxiety in my life. I called and asked what I should do and he prescribed me a muscle relaxer to take every time I took the anxiety meds. At this point my reactions were so bad I was bed ridden and afraid to do anything. I had only been on the meds 3 days and felt it getting worse as I followed his recs. I then decided to stop with advice from a NP and other Dr. Who I visited because dr. Light was out of town. Since then my general anxiety has slowly decreased. I also saw another doctor for my original panic attack issue and she was shocked I was on Buspirone and gave me a low dose (.25mg) of Xanax to calm the symptoms and take as needed when I felt a panic attack on the rise.. She took the time to get my whole history, asked probing questions and seemed to want to take as much time as I needed.

I know I may sound like a complainer and that of course I'm unhappy and want to give a negative review. However, this is what happened and I feel that I was mislead about this medication and the use of other options like benzos. Ive gone to this doctor for other medical related issues and as a general doctor for physicals and have always felt rushed. However, since I wasn't there for anything more serious than a cold or cycling injury I didn't think much of it. But this attitude by him seems to have lead to a horrible situation for me that was easily avoided.

The final straw was when I learned from the local pharmasict that Dr. Light is not able to prescribe benzos, ssri, or other similar meds due to some medical board issue. I wish he would have included that information when choosing Buspirone over those meds and not selling me on the idea that it isn't habit forming.

All in all I will never see him again but people should make their own choices if they want to see him. He is a nice man and probably is just doing what he thinks is best. However when I questioned him, he didn't take the time to here me out.
