I should have read these reviews before going to Dr. Kornafel. She's a very rude doctor and she makes you feel like an idiot. I thought... she must be a lonely person and feels the need to make others feel inadequate. When I was given instructions from her staff, they were never given to us writing. Whenever I had questions or needed to schedule my next appointment it was so hard to get in contact with anyone. I would have to call her office a few times in order to speak with someone because they would never call me back. Just recently, I requested my medical records in writing and never received them. I've given up! Dr. Kornafel and her staff are unprofessional.

I thought I had to write this review in defense of Kathleen Kornafel because it's always easiest to blame shift when treatment doesn't work for an individual when it really comes down to genetics. What works for some may not always work for another and it's not fair to blame your doctor for that. Whilst I'm sorry the below poster did not get results she was seeking, I personally have had outstanding care from Kathleen Kornafel. My goal in life is to NOT have kids, so as far as her fertility treatments go, I cannot comment. I do know that out of 5 OB/GYN's I have had in my life, she is the most thorough and extremely proactive. My first visit with her, before sitting me in stirrups, she sat me down in her office to discuss past problems and whatnot. Maybe I've just been going to lousy doctors before, but I've never been to one that sat me down to TALK to me before "routine" checkups. She is also very adamant about taking a vaginal sonogram to check the ovaries for any abnormalities, which is INCLUDED in the "routine" checkup. Again, I've never had a doctor take steps in preventative care. She has also been informative about diet & exercise in a non-judgmental way. I've had some pretty horrible experiences with OB/GYNs, and I think Kathleen Kornafel is amazing. In my experience with ANY doctor, it's extremely hard to find one that doesn't treat you as cattle, so I'm grateful that she takes the time to address my concerns and offer advice and help point me in certain directions to achieve a healthier lifestyle. That's just my opinion; take it for what it's worth. As far as cost, it's normal for the uninsured. Not cheap, but definitely not obscene.

She has the worst bedside manner and makes you take unnecessary tests to charge you. You have to wait more than an hour at least for visit, and once, after waiting for two hours, they said they'll reschedule. She bills you multiple times, and the billing person, Rosemary yells at you for the longest time for asking a question. While I was getting an annual checkup, I asked her whether she liked being a doctor (I was thinking of applying for Med School), and she said she wouldn't be a doctor if she could do it all over again, because doctors don't make any money. Basically she became a doctor for the money. Truly a doctor that cares (about money, not you).

All the other positive reviews must be by her or her staff, because they are copied and pasted among all the doctor's ratings site.

You feel the need to stand up for Dr. Kornafel? Your goal in life is to NOT get pregnant. Sounds like you found the right doctor. I too had a horrible experince with her. She's cold, rude, and has an ego the size of Glendale itself. Her staff turnover is huge. If she's that rude to people who pay her, can you imagine the way she treats people she pays?

Please don't put down others when you don't know what you're talking about. It's a lot easier to not get pregnant than it is, to be able to get pregnant. I'm glad she helped you out, but that doesn't mean you have to be her white knight. And that also doesn't mean you have to put down others who she has harmed.

Sounds like the 3 of us reviewers have something in common. We all went to Dr. Kornafel and didn't get pregnant. Unofortunately only 1 of us was wanted that result.

I too got nothing but the run around from her. I agree. Stay far away.

I came to Dr. Kornafel to get pregnant. I can assure you that my nickname has nothing whatsoever to do with her. In fact due to her negligence, I am lucky to be a Mommy 2 B. She and her staff are un-caring, and incompetent. All I got from Dr. Kornafel were credit card debt and the run around.

Stay away.
