Dr. Block is very sharp. But he is one of the many MD's who is on various insurance plans (e.g. PacificCare's AMS) who uses labs not on insurance plans. So beware. The doctor is on your plan, but if you get labs done, his staff may send out blood work or other diagnostics to labs not on your plan. This, you'll be looking at serious out-of-pocket expenses. Just discussed this issue with AMS. Namely, that some notification should appear on the eAMS web site noting the the MD uses vendors not 'in plan'.
