Dr Becker has operated on me twice; 19 years ago, and very recently for masses due to papillary thyroid cancer. Dr Becker is simply the finest head and neck surgeon in the Chicago area, if not the USA. I am now four days out of surgery, and I have almost zero pain. I have taken no pain meds; only extra strength tylenol. Anyone who is unfortunate enough to need head and neck surgery should contact Dr Becker. He is the best there is.

Recently I noticed a small bump on the right side of my neck and was referred to Dr. Stephen Becker by my Primary MD. I walked from her office directly to his office and was squeezed in that afternoon to his busy schedule. After a thorough assessment, I was sent for an MRI and was back in his office within 10 days. I was informed that I needed surgery to remove a deep Parotid tumor and that I should not wait. I had the surgery 2.5 weeks later. My tumor, unfortunately was beneath all of my facial nerves which made the surgery much much more complicated for Dr. Becker. The possible complications after surgery included facial paralysis and or facial drooping along with other issues. After a long, involved surgery, I have none of the complications mentioned above. I know how fortunate I am to have chosen Dr. Becker. I luckily chose a surgeon that has well honed skills and a fantastic bedside manner. Not only is he an impressive surgeon that I would recommend to anyone needing an ENT MD and/or surgery, but he is kind. He has the bedside manner that we all want in our Surgeons and MD's. I am never rushed during the office visits and all of my questions are answered thoroughly. Also, the support staff at the office in Chicago is fantastic. Sarah, his nurse and Amanda and Pam are all just wonderful. I feel so very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Becker knowing I had not done any research or asked anyone for a recommendation outside of my Internal Medicine MD. Another happy patient as I am sure there are many....Jane
