Dr. Huber is not a bad doctor, BUT she is not an excellent doctor, nor even a good doctor due to her practice. I had an education that surpasses her education in years, yet she talks to me as if I have a 3rd grade education. Okay, I get that as many of her patients may be in that category. My real deal with her is her service abilities and her staff. As many reviews have stated, her staff are horrible. She also has let too many patients on, and her waiting list for a regular office visit is too long. When I was so sick and needed to get in that day, she was booked until 5 days in, this has been the case 3 times for me, and I have had to go to the ER or Urgent care. If you need anything beyond a regular visit, you have to wait 4 months!!! That is not okay. In addition the staff is so rude and condescending. They think they are above everyone and have the right to be rude and treat you poorly. This is not okay when I am wasting my time to even come in and go to the office, I should be treated with respect. I am giving them business and acting politely even though I am sick, they could do at least the same in return, but they don't. They are rude and often talk about patients once the door is closed, the problem.. the doors and walls are very very thin and you can hear everything they are saying. I have wasted too much time with these ignorant people and will soon be finding a respectable office.

I read the review above and was a little shocked to see that someone was complaining about Dr. Huber. WE love Dr. Huber and would recommended her to anyone who is looking for a new pediatrician or starting a new family.

Dr. Huber is one of the worst doctors that I have ever encountered. Not only is she rude, but she is very condescending. She is not my normal doctor, but when I was sick over the weekend, she was the "on call doctor". Rather than listening to my experience and trying to help, she gave me a lecture on why I should go to the minute clinic (when all they would do is call the on call doctor anyways...) and how I am not actually sick. I tried to explain my symptoms to her, rather than listen to me, she gave me a lecture about the difference between an internal and external ear infection. I know the difference- I am susceptible to them, and if she had listened to me to get a full patient history or had looked in my chart, she would have known that. Sick of the lectures and not feeling well, I gave the phone to my mother, a registered nurse and a director at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Huber continued to lecture my mother and called us both liars saying that I was not actually sick and that my normal doctor never prescribes medicine for ear infections. That is not true- he had given my mother medicine for the same symptoms a week prior, and had multiple times treated me for ear infections. Dr. Huber eventually asked me for my pharmacy information, but did not say if she was calling something in or what she was calling in. Upon reaching the pharmacy, Dr. Huber had called something in; however, she called in my prescription under Dr. Bonsu's name, not her own. Dr. Bonsu is a gynecologist, does not see patients for ear infections, and did not speak with me about my illness. Dr. Huber not only was rude and condescending to me, she lied to the pharmacy about who she was. As a child of a nurse and an employee at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, I have encountered many doctors. Dr. Huber is in the bottom 1% of all doctors I have met in their bedside manners and patient relations. I am embarrassed to say that I work for the University from which she obtained her medical degree. If I did not fully trust Dr. Morog, my real doctor, I would have thought about switching my care from St. Agnes because of my negative experience with Dr. Huber.

They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. My child absolutely loves Risa W Huber, MD. They are so kid-friendly and act like my child's best friend. This doctor has great bedside manner. I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart.
