While Dr. Cohen comes higher recommended from Journals and other medical professionals, once you come face to face with the man, it becomes obvious that he views you more as a burden than as an individual in need of help. After receiving numerous curt responses to questions I had, I honestly felt like telling him to act his age and start answering my question with some curtesy and heart. Does he think that I planned to "ruin" his weekend intentionally when I started to experience floaters through out my vision? Of course, I have nothing better to do than to call him and drive 50 minutes to his office for an emergency procedure. That said, some kindness and sympathy could go a long way.... good bedside manners can really ease a patient's mind when dealing with a vision threatening experience. Hope he reads this and adjusts his attitude.
