Very irresponsible and arrogant doctor. Went in for bilateral shoulder pain and he barley listened to me and just gave me steroid injections. After a month the pain got worse so he gave me another round of shots. When I developed a frozen shoulder in one arm another month later, he gave me ANOTHER shot.

When I tell this to other doctors they cannot believe it. You're supposed to get 1 every 6 months minimum. I wish I had known this. before.

Turns out I had a SLAP tear in each shoulder and a small tear rotater cuff in the left. Wound up getting PRP at another location and am doing a bit better (with lots of PT).

My biggest complaint is that I never saw the Dr on the day of surgery before or after. The office administrator persuaded me to use the clinic the Dr partially owns and the physical therapy he also partially owned conveniently located downstairs.
The Dr always rushed me and certainly had no bedside manners. But he was quick to tell me how good he was.
One year later and I am nowhere near the level of recovery that he promised I would be.

Terrible experience with this doctor. Speaking to other patients, I know my experience isn't unique. 1.The doctor pushes for surgery at a surgical center. States it's better than the hospital. Does not mention that the doctor owns the surgery center. Basically, has you sign a paper at the last minute that states this AFTER you schedule your surgery. 2. I had surgery done on my arm. Several other patients on that same day. The doctor did not see me or any of the other patients either before the surgery or after. He did not check to see if we had any questions before the surgery. Nor, did he check up afterwards. What doctor does this? 3. Have any questions? Forget it. Will try to rush you out at every visit. Tells you next time if you can't remember right away. Can't even wait 1 minute while you collect your thoughts?

Bottomline: THIS DOCTOR ONLY CARES ABOUT THE MONEY. It's like a factory. Pushing as many quick surgeries as possible without any care.

Fairly dissatisfied with Dr. Gross's flippant attitiude. I initially went to this practice via a referral from someone in my office. That same person had to go back for a second surgery, (torn menniscus,) refferred to as a "redo" by Dr. Gross, but I think Dr. Gross may be in a a rush to squeeze as many surgeries into a single day which, in my opinion, is causing him to get a little sloppy. Prior to surgery, Dr. Gross totally LIED about what the recovery post surgery would be like. I told Dr. Gross I could not miss work for more than a week, He said that would not be a problem. Right after the surgery, I was told not to put weight on my foot for 30 days. I was never told I would have to be on a machine that slowly moves my leg for 8+ HOURS A DAY! I guess he figured if he told me the truth, I would'nt go through with the surgery and he wouldn't get paid. After an initial surgery with Dr. Gross to remove "loose bodies" floating around in my knee, I had pretty good results. About a year later, I went back and after reviewing my X-rays, Dr. Gross's prognosis was, "Schedule surgery!" I asked him to explain what was going on with my knee, why did it hurt, why was it "clicking" and "grinding?" His exact response was, and I quote,"It's kind of hard to explain." I assume Dr. Gross has a big enough bank account and enough old "patients" getting hip replacements, that he doesn't really care about losing patients. He seemed quite offended when I asked him for an explanation to his "Schedule Surgery! declaration.
I went to another Orthopedist who very adamantly felt that another surgery was not only unneccessary, but would be detrimental to the condition of my knee. Like I said, "schedule surgery" appears to be Dr. Gross's mantra.
I believe the physical therapy practice that I was sent to after my initial surgery is owned by Dr. Gross...Same kind of attitude: unwilling to do anything but go through the motions that would allow them to bill the insurance company. I remember the PT Glen was so impersonable and seemed like he would have preferred to have been somewhere else when he was administering physical therapy to me.
When I knew it was time to find a new Orthopedist to help me with my knee, I was dissatisfied with the treatment I received from the administrative staff, they certainly did not make it easy or convenient to retrieve my medical records/X Rays and were definitely bordering on nasty.
In summary, my overall grade for Dr. Gross, his demeanor, his willingness to explain, his practice and everyone who works for him: FAIL.
PS: I hate to "bad mouth" people and it goes against my nature, but as I will give credit where credit is due, in this chapter of my life experience, all I can give is discredit.

Dr. Gross would not listen to anything I tried to tell him. I felt like I was being cross-examined by an attorney, not cared for by a doctor. He was rude, did not listen, and does not seem to care about his patients at all. I am shocked that he even went into a profession in which he "cares" for people. He tries to push off as much as he can on the PA who is not impressive either. I hope I can at least help others by warning them to stay away. This was one of the worst, if not the worst, doctor experiences I've ever had.
