Dr. Hall misdiagnosed me twice. Once she misdiagnosed a herniated disc for a kidney infection and was hesitant to refer me to a specialist (who properly diagnosed the problem). By the time I got to the specialist, I had already started to experience some nerve damage and had to have surgery. The second time I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Hall, I was diagnosed as having a weight disorder when none existed. I could not figure why she thought I had a "disorder". I had gained a little over 10 pounds in almost three years, but was still well under the maximum weight allowed for someone my age. Years later I obtained my records from her office and realized her assistant had written my weight down wrong—it was off by 30 pounds! I know this because I have never— even to this day—reached the weight listed!! No wonder she kept making a big deal out of me gaining a few pounds. She kept saying over and over about how I need to lose weight and was acting very condescendingly toward me. Could she not look at me and tell that I was not the weight her tech incorrectly documented on my chart? I'm not very tall, so visually she should have noticed I didn't seem to be 40 pounds heavier than when she last saw me. I mean a variance of 30 pounds should have been obvious! I left feeling very down about myself and mad that she thought I was fat when I knew I wasn't (she had written "weight disorder" on my report). I didn't think much about it at the time, but she did send me to have blood work done, and it all came back okay. Dr Hall kept making a big deal out of maybe there were some underlying cause for the weight gain. Well, seeing that I didn't have diabetes or a crazy thyroid or any of the things you would think someone who gained 40 pounds in three years might have, again, did anyone think that maybe my weight was written down wrong?!? Also, if losing weight was something I really needed to do, why not offer to refer me to a specialist who could help me with diet and exercise? She never offered me any kind of support or ideas on how to lose weight. Just more or less suggested I needed to quit eating so much. Again, I was very very confused by the whole thing. I will never go back.

Dr. Hall is a wonderful person. However, she rarely prescribes medications or offers referrals. Her general response to everything is to drink more water and exercise. I'm a big believer in lifestyle changes, but I also want to get another opinion when I ask for one (referral issue).
