Dr Clinch & his staff are amazing! I can't imagine going to another OB/Gyn unless he recommends them...especially under the circumstances under which I first met and had an exam done by him. All women in my family who live in AZ see have now been seeing hi for years as well - and he delivered a niece & nephew of mine - he also asks about them whenever i see him! Professional, knowledgeable & very personable! Wonderful doctor!

We saw Dr. Clinch for the first 4 months of my pregnancy. From the beginning, I though he was decent and knowledgeable, but I never really LOVED him; it actually gave me a weird feeling when he hugged me & told me congratulations during the first appointment (first time I met him). We were not given the opportunity to do a first trimester NT screening, and since it was my first pregnancy, I didn't know that I should have to ask for it (note: I SHOULDN'T have had to ask for it). I came across information about that screening the day before my 15 week appointment. Dr. Clinch wasn't there for my appointment, so I asked Geri about it; she seemed to have no clue what test I was referring to and that I should call the doctor to ask him. I followed up that afternoon with a message, and I had to call twice to TRY to get an answer. The closest to an explanation that I got was, "We don't do that screening at our office."

Over the course of going to his office, I had 2 questions submitted via their online system that went unanswered, and I had to call to follow up to get an answer - so when I was told they don't do the screening, I had already had enough. I found a new doctor (Dr. Brenda Martin of Shea Women's Care... she's FANTASTIC), and called to ask for my records to be transferred. The receptionist said that Dr. Clinch would need to call me to get an explanation of why I was changing doctors, and I replied, "Good; he already owes me a return call." I never got a call back from him, and the records were sent without question.

Unfortunately, we found out (during our first appointment with Dr. Martin) that our baby had serious (fatal) health issues with his brain/heart/bowels - and passed away at 18 weeks. Although I know that the early screening would not have changed our baby's health issues, we would have found out much earlier and have had more time to figure out a plan - rather than being blind-sided by it.

The only reason I can imagine he wouldn't do that scan is that he thinks the termination rate is higher if issues (such as Down Syndrome) are found, but that's not his call. We deserved the chance to make the decision of doing the first trimester screening... not a doctor who determines if his patients should - or shouldn't - have an early scan.

Based on my experience, I would never recommend Dr. Clinch and would actually tell people (women) to stay away.

They were absolutely amazing and make others in the same field look like beginners. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. Yesterday was my first appt and every single person in the office was very nice. I haven't met the doctor yet, but my first impression of the staff was very good. I will be submitting another review after I meet him!
