Constantly 45 minutes to 1.5 hours late. I have had to leave on a few occasions after waiting over an hour and was going to be late to my next appointment. His staff didn't want to refund my co-pay and insisted that the doctor would see me "soon." Dr. DeBrito berates and yells at staff, which are new every month due to how he treats his employees. Expect Dr. DeBrito to take personal phone calls during most appointments and walk out to yell at his staff a few times during an appointment. Dr. DeBrito made me feel very uncomfortable on multiple occasions and my wife wanted to run out the door. My primary care doctor heard I was seeing him and she immediately said I should not go back under any circumstances and helped me find a new doctor. (call your insurance company and get a list of providers, then do your research to see who is taking new patients and make an appointment.)

Dr. De Brito has been SUSPENDED from his affiliations with Huntington, Glendale & Methodist hospitals!! He has been remanded to trail for 4 FELONY CHARGES including assault and weapons charges, and has a protective order out against him by his kid's babysitter (he is charged with assault with intent to harm for *allegedly* attacking her). LA County court case #GA097514

IMHO, you should STAY AWAY!!!

I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. I wouldn't feel safe under anyone else's care. They are one of the few psychiatrists I trust. They keep the restrooms well-stocked here, and not just with the basics. There is mouthwash, lotion and other amenities. You can tell they want their clients to be as comfortable as possible. They are one of the most attentive psychiatrists I've ever met. They always remember me and my situation at every appointment, and make an extra effort to make me feel important and respected. They are the most attentive psychiatrist I've ever met. They always listen carefully to whatever I have to say.

Somewhat. It was a little excessive.

Not really, but I found a spot

Ok here we go. 1 year ago Dr. Dirk DeBrito was kind enough to begin treatment of my son Kyle. Kyle was very dark, depressed and hopeless due to his condition. First & foremost the Doctor informed me the mom that He(Dr. DeBrito) (as my son turned 18 on the day of his first appt) - worked for Kyle not his mom or dad! I knew immediately that I LOVED this Doctor!!!!!!

Doctor Dirk DeBrito showed me that he truly cared about my son and his well being!!!! He immediately treated my son not only like a human being, but like a Man.

During this last year this INCREDIBLE Doctor has helped, thru talk & medication; turn my Son into a human being with HOPE!!!! This young man I gave birth to has actually gone from absolutely no HOPE for a future to just recently deciding to be an Architect!!!!!! He is actually checking out what courses he need for this career!!!!

I know this may seem odd, but Dr. DeBrito really did facilitate these incredible & life altering changes in my son. My son continues to work hard with his Doctor to move forward and improve his Mental Health. Dr. DeBrito is RIGHT there with him. Dr. DeBrito listens to my son and to Kyle’s Father & Myself too and takes our observations in to consideration during the treatment of Kyle.

I will NEVER forget just how SPECIAL Dr. Dirk DeBrito is and just how DEEPLY he has and continues to touch my son and our family.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this WONDERFUL Doctor to help you or your children.
