Dr Meghan Thomas is okay in the sense that she is clued into alternatives to the standard Western approach to health and she is very attentive to child safety such as good carseats/boosters, etc. She is very competent overall, however her bedside manner needs a lot of work. She started my last appointment with her by saying "You're late, so we don't have much time." I wasn't actually late, I was just in the bathroom when they called me so I didn't come right away, and I arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled appt time. That just seemed like a very unprofessional and aggressive way to start an appointment (maybe she was having a bad day, but it's still not okay). When I went to see her for my son's behavioral and sleep issues, she came across as very blaming. I had made myself vulnerable by asking for help and rather than being met with kindness and support, she pointed out how I was failing as a parent and told me if I kept it up he would be a lot worse as a teenager! Great, thanks...that's exactly why I was coming in the first place - to try to get some help for him and me. She was quite rude to me when I asked her how I should do some of the things she was instructing me to do. I have changed over to another physician who has a much better bedside manner and I am so happy I did...I hope to never leave a Dr's visit in tears again.
