Dr Margolis is a bit old-school in "bedside manner", in that he's the expert and no, you are not. Some people are put off by this, but he truly is an expert in a long-time practice, stays current and is an ardent advocate and care provider to his patients. He does know his stuff, his practice is a well-oiled machine, truly a family practice in that his readily accessible and friendly staff acts like family that knows each other and patients very well. Phone calls are immediately answered by the front desk, and even complicated questions are knowledgeably handled right there or passed to the Dr who has always called back the same day. Appointments are thorough (you won't feel pressured for time) but are still efficient and quick, and you won't wait past appointment times to see him. He is an older guy and gets along very well with my 90+ y.o. parents. I think that older folks are a good fit for him, in that he has been around a while and so have they. Yes, he can be a bit gruff: He won't waste your time nor his, but he readily jokes and is easy to get along with if you want that.
Dr. Margolis is a very caring individual that takes the time it needs to understand your concerns. He report back to you all test results within 24 hours and are always available for consultation. He responds very promptly and has good advice. I can highly recommend Dr. Margolis as an internist. I have been his patient for 4 years and I am very satisfied.
Dr. Margolis is just horrible. His idea of patient care is outdated and dangerous. He was rude and condescending and should not be practicing medicine.
