This doctor is one of the most unpleasant people I have ever dealt with in the medical field. She is arrogant and argumentative, interrupting your questions to berate you for doubting her diagnosis and opinion. We waited over an hour on the second visit without an apology or excuse. We left after a 30-minute "discussion" of our son's condition without any feeling of confidence in her prescriptions. Not a hint of compassion for the chronic pain our son has experienced for the last six months... Why does she run a practice? She should stay in the laboratory.

Dr. Yassa is an amazing physician and I trust her with my son's care completely. My issue is with the office staff. My son's chart sat on the desk for an hour and a half after we signed in before they checked us in to be seen. This is not the first time. I think it is very sad that I know I need to allot at least three hours for a 15 min appt. They are VERY slow. As a self-employed person-NOT getting paid to sit in their office, I was VERY angry about the amount of wasted time. I think Dr. Yassa should be aware of this problem and look at it as a business person. I have read past reviews online that are very similar to mine.

The negative reviews for this "doctor" are enough to convince me there is no need for me to waste anymore time on this horrifically unprofessional and ridiculous person. The "quality?!4; of my experience exceeds most of these. A time where one wishes there were 0 stars or negative numbers available for the review. You have been warned!

Please avoid this Doctor at all costs. My son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome and at the advice of our pediatrician we took him to see this neurologist. She spent 10 minutes talking to him and I after which she declared “He is not smart enough to have Aspergers, Aspergers people are brilliant”. This of course is the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard and shows she has no knowledge of the syndrome. Then she told him that HE was the problem and that he'd have to change his attitude as his attitude was the problem, then only moments later she told me she suspected he has tourettes even though my son has no noticeable tic and never has, not visible and not in his speech! She finished up the session by telling me that my son would have to be on very heavy medication for a long time and proscribed Lexapro and Risperdal, one of which is a powerful anti-depressant, the other is a powerful bipolar drug!

All of these amazing diagnosis after only 10 minutes of discussion, and a prescription for two incredibly powerful drugs. This is pure insanity!

In my opinion this doctor is a monster, plain and simple, drugging and medicating children who do not need it. Read the other reviews and you will see the same things I have stated here. Do NOT let this doctor see your children ever, and if you have children under treatment with her PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take them to another doctor for a second opinion. This was the scariest 10 minutes I've ever spent with someone who calls themselves a doctor.
