Dr. Kadoyan is the best psychiatrist that I've been to so far, he is very knowledgeable and took care of my anxiety/depression.

I'm not actually writing this review about Dr. Kadoyan as I wasn't even able to see the doctor. The reception staff is completely incompetent.

I called to make an appointment and was told that I would need to make my copayment with cash or a check. I made the appointment as late in the day as possible because I didn't want to miss too much work.

When a receptionist called to confirm my appointment I was told I could only pay with cash. When I told them that I had previously been told that I could pay with a check they claimed absolute ignorance and reiterated that it was cash only. I said fine and made my way to an ATM as I really wanted to get into the doctor as soon as possible.

I left work 2 hours early to be at this appointment but once I got there I was told that yes they do accept health net and MHN but not through covered california. I asked them why and told them I had missed out on 2 hours of pay for this appointment. I was told that this had happened before so the receptionist could see why I would be frustrated. I asked, "if this has happened before then why don't you ask new patients whether they are insured through covered california when they are making the appointment?" No answer. Absolutely ridiculous.

Discredited me as soon as I asked if he could treat me for ADD, thought I just wanted drugs. I told him I can get drugs without him, that's not a problem.

He asked if I did well in school, I said yes, I even have a masters degree in communication management - he said "then you don't have ADD". that's it.

As I tried to further the conversation - I quickly realized he probably hasn't read up on the last 20 years of psychology and left.

If you want someone to talk to and have to pay for it - you can go here but if you want help, probably better to go somewhere else.

Oh and the waiting room is very depressing.

Not only was their advice completely unbiased, it was practical, realistic advice that I could implement into my everyday life, and it worked. I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up. I left feeling very happy with the way my appointment went. I was nervous before my appointment, but I feel much more hopeful now. I've always appreciated how great they are about getting back to me right away. Whenever I call I always hear back from them.

The staff is very rude (on the phone and in the office). The doctor has no patience (he's a psychiatrist). I will not visit him again.

Dr. Kadoyan doesn't liked to be questioned about his methods/prescriptions. He seems to just want patients to be in and out so he can make money. Every time I've been there, I have had to wait at least 30 minutes to be called in.
