Brent is the best physician I have ever seen. He compassionate, attentive, brilliant, a walking medical encyclopedia and an absolutely perfect clinician. There is no one who even compares to Brent Cox.

Dr. Cox was hands down the best psychiatrist I ever had the pleasure of dealing with - coming from someone who has sought therapy for PTSD, suffering from extreme abuse, multiple attempts by CPS to remove me from my home. He was the only psychiatrist I ever met who actually took the time to get to really know you, read all your medical history, and make an honest wholehearted attempt to HELP.

I was a patient of Dr. Cox for fifteen years. In the beginning years he was really good and always gave me his attention. Then about four years ago I started running into some problems with trying to contact him. If I renewed an Rx thru a pharmacy I'd wait about three days and then call the pharmacy to inquire about the delay. They would tell me that they had faxed and left voicemails at least three times with absolutely no response from the doctor. He always blamed the pharmacy for losing his response.
He has NO staff which means you have to contact him directly. I had four different electronic contact numbers (i.e.; voicemail, fax, etc) but even so, he started going at least two weeks before responding to any of them, if at all. When u r in a crisis that is very harmful.
He does not deal with underlying issues at all but I knew that going in. As I had four different electronic contact numbers (i.e.; voicemail, fax, etc) but he started going at least two weeks before. Responding, if at all. Ask a question and he'd use 15 minutes to tell u about complex medical processes with a level of detail that is unnecessary for lay people.
Ultimately he failed to fill out a two minute form online to put my Rxs onto to a mail out program after three weeks and many requests. He just disappeared. I found a new doctor. She is alarmed at the levels of medication Cox had me on even tho he was cavalier about upping the dosages or bringing another drug into the mix. I am now working to taper back on the meds. I agree that he has problems that are interfering with his work. Find someone else.

I was under the care of this Dr. for almost 20 years for chronic depression, and left because he became very unprofessional ... could not get messages through to his answering machine, as he was not picking them up anymore, and other things. Found out I could no longer trust him in any way.
Does not do talk therapy, except when it comes to medication ... will not ask or talk about your personal problems.
He's a Psychopharmacologist, so if you want to talk to a Psychiatrist about your problems, he is the wrong one to go to.
Also, out of the 20 Yrs of seeing him, only twice was he on time for my appointment. It was usually a 30 min. wait to get in to see him.
It's sad that a Dr. who I once trusted, never apologized for turning so unprofessional, and never even said goodbye to me ... after 20 yrs, no less.
Beginning to think he's the one with a problem.
I am under the care of a much more caring and professional Dr. now, who really does therapy, so I guess it was a blessing in disguise, and am happy I left that Dr. after all these years ..... what a waste of my time. Don't be so naive, as I was, as there are so many better Dr.'s out there.

Every time I visit, I'm always given their whole attention throughout the entire appointment. They always go above and beyond to make me feel respected and important. They consistently dismiss my concerns and accuse me of making problems up. I don't trust them to ever actually look into my concerns and see if they're valid. Apparently they haven't ever heard of the saying "the customer's always right" here. Having a high level of customer service doesn't appear to be their top priority. It was pretty hard to find the building, but I eventually found it. I've noticed a significant improvement since I've started my sessions. They've been able to help me quite a bit.
