Dr. Awwa is NOT a good man. He knows nothing about with drawling people from medications, including benzodiazapines. I was his patient for two 1/2 long years. He prescribed me and tried me on: Klonopin, Ambien, Adderall, Effexor XR, Seroquel, Seroquel XR, Lexapro, Paxil, Prozac, Viibryd, Gabapentin, Wellbutrin, Concerta, Vyvanse, and many others that I cannot remember. NOTE: I was sixteen when I started seeing him, now I'm nineteen years old! The the longest appointment I had was about ten minutes long but they were usually five minutes. He didn't care how I was doing, he didn't have time to know how I was doing. After two years, he decided to take me from 2mg of Klonopin to .5 right like that. I was shocked because any psychiatrist who has a brain knows this is incredibly dangerous. Symptoms include "sleep disturbance, irritability, increased tension and anxiety, panic attacks, hand tremor, sweating, difficulty with concentration, confusion and cognitive difficulty, memory problems, dry retching and nausea, weight loss, palpitations, headache, muscular pain and stiffness, a host of perceptual changes, hallucinations, seizures, psychosis.." (Wikipedia). After finally seeing him for two years, he started having these episodes I guess you could call him. Where he would say everything I was telling him was a lie, he finally told me that I was hiding something and used the term "bulls**t to describe what I telling him. He said I could either come back in a couple days or not, and finally come clean "with the truth" or I could find another provider. I found another provider. My mother is also under Dr. Awwa's care, shes also overdosed three times while under his care. This man is pure evil, he only cares about himself and to make a quick buck off of selling a new prescription drug on the market or a Xanax prescription to make a quick buck. He's only good at prescribing narcotics and writing his signature all messy. He isn't a doctor, he's a legal drug dealer. He'll prescribe you anything from Klonopin to Suboxone. Stay away from this man, don't give him or CBHA your money. Let them know they need some new practitioners.

Dr Awwa was not always very understanding of my situation. On one occasion I was talking about something that happened to me and he started to laugh out loud and almost uncontrollably. He was laughing to himself without regard for me. I found that very disrespectful.

There is no way I’d ever go back to visit them. They have no idea what they’re doing. The staff definitely wasn't friendly. It seemed like they were annoyed to have to be helping me. One of the first things I noticed about this business was that they were not handicap-accessible and offered no means for handicapped individuals to enter the building. There were barriers everywhere making it practically impossible to get in the front door. Every time I've called and left a message, I've never heard back. It's extremely annoying. They don't offer flexible appointment times at all. I have a busy schedule, and they are almost never able to fit me in at the times I would be able to go.

They explained my treatment's risks and benefits, but it wasn't clear. I wish they had given me more information. I always look forward to my appointments because they take that extra step to make me feel special and respected. They really make an effort to get to know all their clients and don't just treat them like a number. They were somewhat easy to reach in an emergency. They didn't answer the call at first, but did eventually call me back. I'll definitely be going back. I didn't have a bad experience. They are nice but WAY overbooked and the staff is clearly overworked. They should really allow for more time in between appointments if they want to keep any business.

Probably one of the most irresponsible Psychiatrist I've ever known. talk about drugging people up to the extent. It's sicking to hear people "lieing" to see a psychiatrist to use prescription drugs. I have previously been a patient and to me, it has seemed he cared little about my situation, and was just ready to move on to see the next patient. He has seen my mother for over 15 years and highly abuses his degree. Over medicating is an understatement.
