Dr. Sorel is a terrible doctor and a complete crook! He always acts as though he's being interrupted, even when you call to make your initial appointment with him, which is when he should at least give a damn about your business. He's not the least bit approachable, and is certainly not kind or genuine. Go to him if you just need a pill dispenser and don't mind visiting twice a week for no legitimate reason other than to line his pockets (oh yeah, and also line the pockets of the Foer's Pharmacy he 'recommends' because he gets sweet kickbacks from them).

Months after I stopped seeing Dr. Sorel, I received a notice in the mail saying that I was delinquent on a $350 payment to him for a visit I never had. I never received an initial notice, just threats from his billing agency that I was going to be submitted to collections for non-payment.

THIS GUY IS A CROOK!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I was a little hesitant to make an appointment to see Dr. Sorel after reading some of the disparaging comments made by past patients, but I am positively ecstatic about my decision to see him. He is punctual, kind, respectful, and very knowledgeable. I feel like the beginning of my new life is just around the corner and I can not recommend him enough! I trust that I am in good hands and am grateful my psychologist referred Dr. Sorel to me. If you are serious about getting help,this is who you need to see in DC.

I highly recommend Dr. Sorel. He is direct, honest, and respectful. He treated me as an intelligent person able to participate in my treatment. He was direct, however, which is very good for me but not for others, perhaps.

They are definitely the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. I think he is one of the most knowledgeable, helpful psychiatrist in the field. He never left me and I never felt ignored. His office is in a location that is very comfortable to access, you don't feel like you are going to a place with a big MENTAL HEALTH center name on it. It is actually a very nice apartment building near the State Dept. and the Kennedy Center.

I found that Dr. Sorel is very intelligent and insightful. My assessment visit was very thorough but very tough. He is straightforward, but actually very kind.

He was able to correct my diagnosis to something that has been much more helpful to me. Many psychologists misdiagnose bipolar II as unipolar depression.

To be clear, I went to Dr. Sorel for diagnosis and medication. I had a psychologist for weekly therapy.

When I moved away from DC, Dr. Sorel was very helpful. I ended up receiving services here in Pittsburgh from excellent practitioners, but none of the caliber of Dr. Sorel.

Never! They have lots of business, but they do such a great job of never overbooking.
