My children both had orthodontia services at Western Dentlal. My daughter at WD Van Nuys and my son at WD Burbank.

There was a world of difference between the two facilities.

WD Burbank has a staff that continually rotates - including the dentists.
Service is non existent and the staff at the front are not helpful.
The only time parents were asked back to speak with anyone was when they need to pay money. Dentists in WD Burbank don't talk with the parents unless the parent specifies they want to speak with them, and even then many times they would send my child out first and we'd have to wait until there was another opening to talk ... the last time this involved a wait of one extra hour!

In contrast, WD Van Nuys staff were very helpful, and consistent. The Dentist regularly cals the parents back to explain procedures, progress, etc.

When we thought about switching back to WD Van Nuys, there was a $150 change location fee ... and unfortunately, where the 2nd child went to school was close by the Burbank location.

Do yourself a favor. Go to each location that's reasonable for you, and just sit and watch how the staff treat patients, parents and one another before you commit to location.

We'd been so happy with the services of the Western Dental Van Nuys, that we didn't take the time to really check out WD Burbank. Wish we did before we committed and they obtained the complete orthodontia payout from our dental insurance (which occurred within the first 45 days of treatment.)

All the time! the waiting rooms are always packed and It seems as if they are more concerned about quantity over quality

Absolutely not! My phone calls aren't returned at all!
Did this dentist allow you to regularly rinse your mouth during your procedure?
Definitely not, I almost choked

Yes, I was completely ignored for a long time!

Had a horrible experience at the Burbank Location. The doctor was very rough and rude. I came back with more problems then had before. The fillings are super sensitive even after a month. The deep cleaning did not clean my teeth at all, I still have plaque in between my teeth and the docotor did not give me a correct treatment plan. I was not explained my treatment plan. Overall very dissatisfied. I had no choice but to go there, beuase of my insurance. I have written a complaint to the corporate office, but never gotten an aswer, and never will.
