I had my augmentation and mastopexy (lift) done with Dr. Kelley done. I ended up having it twice. Originally, I came in to have only mastopexy, but he talked me into having augmentation and mastepexy done at the same time to avoid future surgeries and get the result that I wanted from the first time. I was very confident that he will be able to do it and was solely doing everything in my best interest, but UNFORTUNETLY my surgery was complete disaster. Out of two surgeries neither one of them was properly or successfully accomplished. He insisted to put in one implant bigger than the other (I don’t know why, my breast were the same size- not 100% symmetric but definitely the same size) and I trusted my doctor. On the day of surgery Dr. Kelley changed the way he will do cuts and how the procedure would go to avoid additional scaring. I can’t even describe what recovery was like…. 4 days of miserable pain, I was barely moving, painkillers that makes you sick. But the worst part of it was a result. After 2 month when the swelling went away and they started to shape. I looked like I had 4 breasts instead of one. First, Dr. Kelley put bigger implant in the wrong breast (not like originally planned, besides the fact he haven’t cut enough space for it, so it harder and started to sticking out on the side of my body, and was hurting me as hell. I could only sleep on one side, that’s how much it hurt; it was so heavy my back started to hurt. Secondly, mastopexy (lift) was not done at all. It looked like they’d cut it open and sew it back together- it was the same size but only with the scar now. Dr. Kelley admitted that it was unsuccessful surgery and suggested to do another one ASAP (because implant was hurting me and could of cause more damage to my breast). He offered to do it for free. I was devastated – I was trying to avoid two surgeries and now I HAVE TO have another one, because it could mess up my breast. It took me a lot of trust and believe and additional time off from work to agree to another surgery. I told Dr. Kelley I don’t want to end up having second then third, then fourth surgery. He said “I should have been able to do it the first time; there will be no third surgery.” We came up with the game plan, he left markings on my breasts where nipple will be located, how much tissue to cut off- it looked like a solid plan. After another 7 hour surgery- the next day- I looked at my breast and on one of them I was still able to see markings that we did before surgery about half an inch, skin was so tighten on the other one it was making my nipple pop out a lot. Nipples were different sizes now- he cut out more skin then what he should. I decided to wait for swelling to go away and gravity to work. New implants were the only one thing that was fixed this time- at least they are about the same size and don’t stick out on the sides and don’t hurt. After 1,5 month nothing had changed- one breast is bigger (which were supposed to be fixed with lift), nipples located one higher than the other one, skin is even more tighten now that makes my nipple pop out more. Dr. Kelley told me he can perform third surgery and do some touch ups to fix it. I was crying; I couldn’t believe it. I feel like he is experimenting on me or something I refused and asked for PORTION of my money back for the part of the surgery that he was not able to accomplish- he lift. He said that he won’t pay another surgeon to fix such a small issue. Well, I don’t think I should be paying for surgery that you could accomplish TWICE, putting me at risk of having future problem with my breasts!!!!!!!! I am sorry Dr. Kelley I don’t think that I trust you enough to go for another surgery with you. He also told me that I was the only not satisfied client out of hundred that he proceeded. Well, maybe you picked me because I look too good ( he was making a lot of compliments on my appearance, or maybe because of my religion – he was checking my cross on my neck several times or because of my origin . I don’t know why he picked me and was not able to perform surgery TWO times. VERY VERY disappointed.
