I would not go back to this female doctor. I was taking my teenage daughter for her first OB/GYN, and my daughter didn't want me in the exam room with her. Ok, so I waited. After a long time, the doctor comes out and says I can come in. She starts discussing Pregnancy prevention and I disagreed. The doctor was very resentful of my opinions and I was told how it was better for my daughter to have pregnancy prevention than have an unborn child. She and I were going head to head about my beliefs and hers. She basically told me I didn't have a say so in the matter. I was fuming. She said it was the law, that my daughter had that right over her body. Well, what was I to do about that? I was really upset how this doctor sided without doubt and was very rude about the way she said it to me. I lost that battle, but had a long discussion with my daughter on the way home. I would not go back to her mainly because of her bedside manner. Very short, direct, and non-caring about my views I was disappointed that their staff didn't seem to respect them very much. They weren't disrespectful but I could tell they didn't have a very good relationship. I wasn't too impressed with their office, I could tell they didn't take much pride in it's appearance. I've never felt more uncomfortable with an OBGYN before. They were rude, unfriendly, and so unwelcoming. Almost every time I visit, I have to remind them who I am, why I'm there, and what my circumstances are. Their office was nice and quiet. I was worried it would be overly loud but it was fine.

Dr. Griffin handled my last pregnancy. This was pregnancy #8. Second child.. Dr. Griffin is a bit short. She is no nonsense. She will answer your questions buit won't go into detail. Her staff on the other hand is very warm and delightful. My son was born healthy and no complocations (planned C-Section due to previous problems). I would recommend Dr. Griffin to others. You just have to get past her ruff exterior. She is not warm but she is not cold either.

When I found out I was expecting I was in a job and insurance transition so found myself not qualifying for any help. I made an appointment with a local Women's Center but was not able to be seen for at least a month and a half. I immediately made an appointment with Dr. Griffin's office for my initial prenatal exam because I was concerned with my health and that of the baby and wanted to make sure everything was going according to plan. I was quoted a price and told it would include the prenatal exam and we'd get to hear the heartbeat. When making the appointment I was not notified the office is cash or check only, thankfully we arrived early so I had my panicked significant other run to the bank. After getting that out of the way we settlde into the waiting room with broken AC to sweat and fill out paperwork. Prior to being seen I filled out medical release paperwork for the clinic I was going to attend later on, I simply could not afford to see the doctor out of pocket beyond our first exam.

Half an hour after our appointment time I was seen-- the half of star I listed was for the nurse. She was great for the brief time she took my blood pressure and weighed me and talked to me about my first pregnancy. When Dr. Griffin came into the room she was very short with my questions, questioned why I was changing doctors DURING my table exam and dismissed me. When asking if we'd get to hear the heartbeat we were told, "That'll be an additional $250, you can pay the receptionist and let me know if you're interested." For me, this is my first pregnancy and I'm spilling over with questions and concerns and left so disappointed I was in tears.

Maybe it was an off time for their office and the Doctor, herself, but I wouldn't recommend this experience for anyone.

I'm in my early 40s now, and I've received OB/GYN care at a number of different facilities in 4 states over the years. Dr. Griffin's staff is by far the most discourteous, unprofessional staff I've encountered at any medical facility, Ob/Gyn or otherwise. The staff at several Planned Parenthoods was far, far superior. The one attempt I made at receiving care from Dr. Griffin resulted in "not enough cells" being collected to do the PAP test properly, requiring a do-over. While it's my understanding that this sometimes happens as a result of the new collection methods, meaning it may not be entirely Dr. Griffin's fault, attempting to schedule the new exam with her staff has proven so frustrating that I've decided to cut my losses and start over elsewhere. If you haven't selected an Ob/Gyn provider yet, I'd advise you to do the same.
