I went to see Dr. Douglas for a Implant evaluation. First, he was late for my appointment, he wasn't even in the office at the time of my appointment. When he did show up, he probed my tooth, looked at the x-ray I provided, and said he could do an implant. I asked him two questions: one was would the nerve be a problem, and the second was how much it would cost. He answered the first question with "I have never hit a nerve in 25 years" and the second would be answered by his staff. The doctor spent 5 minutes with me, tops. The office computers were down and they had to give me a price written on a piece of paper. I asked the office person if the $2,800.00 quote would include all charges and she said yes. She told me she was new and this was her first or second week. I then received a bill in the mail for $125.00 for a "Specialist Consult" fee. This is $125.00 for 5 minutes, no x-ray, no nothing, and a promise that the $2,800.00 was a total price. I called and the office manager told me that I needed to pay the invoice. I did pay it, but I cancelled my $2,800.00 procedure. They acted like it didn't matter. What a poor way of taking care of people and of doing business. I'm glad I found this out before having them do anything else, I'll spend my money with someone who cares more about the patient instead of only about the money.

The dental care I receive from this office is very good. The office support staff and dental assistants are pleasant and efficient. The doc is a nice gut too. HOWEVER....This doc has been late to every appointment I have had with him. The office staff tries thier best to cover for him, but you can tell they are embarrased
