I met Dr. Roura when my mom was still alive; meeting with him helped me through some of my toughest times and gave me hope when I hadn't any. My mom trusted their office, and she didn't trust very easily- Francie was the sweetest and Dr. Roura was always professional, philosophical and good at making a heavy situation, lighter. Highly recommend.

I had to wait months to even see the doctor. When I managed to secure an appointment I was rescheduled , twice!! Both times I got called less than two days before my scheduled appointment. And each time I was bumped back a MONTH. I was having a personal crisis and this doctor was the only resource I could find, so one month - let alone THREE - seemed like a lifetime. Plus the second rescheduling was a staff error. Apparently initial consults are 90 mins and they had filled me in a 30 min return visit slot. Why it took four weeks to catch this error, I don't know. The woman on the phone - I assume the front desk receptionist/nurse, Francine?- was very rude with me, giving me a "nothing we can do" attitude. When I DID meet with Dr. roura, at first it seemed a massive relief. I left the office reassured...he had even given me his cell number and told me he was available to his other patients in situations like mine 24:7 so I could contact him any time I needed help. A few days later, the medicine he prescribed started making me feel sick. I sent him a few texts - no response. I talked to a friend taking the same medicine - I came to the conclusion that Dr.Roura gave me a cookie-cutter script, way overdosing me. I could have been fine taking literally 1/6 of the dose I was prescribed daily. The prescription was extremely expensive - $400 for 60 units, a one month supply according to Dr.Roura - very difficult for me to pay on top of the $150 initial visit. It made me wonder about his motives. All of this destroyed my trust in him in a psychiatrist, and his front staff - although polite enough in the office - seem to be indifferent towards the patients and sloppy with booking. One last note - I needed a receipt for insurance and record keeping - all they have are those handwritten tear-off-copy receipt books, like you'd get at a bake sale or something. No print out or itemized listing of services rendered, just a handwritten scrap of paper that said "dr.samuel Roura, initial consultation" and the address with Francine's signature, my name, and the date. I cancelled my next appointment and do not intend to return.

Definitely! I was shocked and horrified!

Not at all. They saw me but didn't greet me at all
Did you spend a lot of time in the waiting room at this provider's office?
I waited forever for my appointment!

No, its really far from the freeway and other shops

I only had one visit and do not wish to return. they were not mean or dirty or anything like that my problems lies with with the Dr. He gave me two pieces of information that I know to be completely false, while trying to assure me he knew what he was talking about. He claimed to be surprised by my lack of such knowledge which baffled me that He, himself has not use the internet to confirm the BS he is spilling. From the moment he lied to me it was very hard for me to take him seriously or even view him as someone trying to help me. I'm sure he is a very nice person all in all but giving out completely untrue information is the last thing you want from someone who your trusting with the most important part of your body.

I wouldn't feel safe under anyone else's care. He is one of the few psychiatrists I trust. He always goes out of his way to make my son feel encouraged and cared for. I always feel completely comfortable and I look forward to the appointments with my son. He is an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in his care. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and he was by far the best I've ever seen. I've already started recommending them to people I know.Dr. Roura is by far the best psychiatrist -- or doctor -- that my son have ever had. He is very friendly and very knowledge of his field, and he is incredibly easy to talk with about personal issues.

More importantly, he goes out of his way to help his patients. Investing time and not rushing you to get to the next patient. Basically you are a human to him not just a dollar sign. He is bilingual and was able to understand our situation without rushing to conclusions.

They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. Everything they told me in the beginning ended up turning out exactly the way they said it would. They were able to provide me everything they promised me. I've never doubted their abilities. I had to wait a few weeks to get an appointment but I eventually got in.
