For my second cleaning, a dentist did not check my oral health (i.e. looked for oral cancer), which has always been done at the 4 other dentists I've been to in my life. The dentist, who was working on a patient next door, said he was too busy and took the word of the hygienist.

I felt they were upselling me to do more work on my teeth. Luckily I have a friend who is a dentist and I asked for her opinion. She said the work they wanted to do was not necessary, especially for such a small area.

Then they over-billed me. I brought it up and I was told that I should take it out of my FSA. But if the office owes me, and I take the debt out of my FSA, then I'd be paying myself!! They said they would send me a check, and it's been four months and nothing yet.

I'm finding another dentist.
