I was raised in a medical family and know BS when I read it. David Leach is a true professional, very conservative in his diagnosis and is surrounded by the best staff I have in my 53 years ever experienced. The ridiculous hatchet job written by the one negative is totally uncalled for and reeks of libel and most likely written by a jealous moron in a failing medical practice. I have had RK and thought about LASIK and/or corrective lenses as an adjunct to my RK performed by another MD. No physician in his right mind would give a diagnosis over the phone - and I did not expect one. The slanderous drivel written by the only negative review gives itself away by that language alone. Unfortunately for me LASIK is not an option due to another physician's prior work on my eyes. RK was an early method of surgical enhancement and in my particular case it precludes any further surgery. Other folks may be able to have LASIK, and if I could Dr Leach would be my first and ONLY choice. Corrective lenses are an option for me - something I would NEVER have considered without a thorough and COMPLETE eye exam - regardless of who performed my prior surgery. I will continue to use Dr Leach's expertise and will continue to refer my family and friends to him! I trust him implicitly and unlike Mr Sleazy Backstabber sign my full and complete name - sincerely, Ken Veenstra
Having been a patient of Dr. Leach for almost 15 years, I've always been impressed with both his and his staff's professionalism. He treats you as though you are his most important patient and never makes you feel like you're being rushed through an examination. He takes the time to explain any procedure that he feels is necessary and why. What I appreciate is his conservative approach and that I be completely satisfied with the treatment's results. He also answers all questions I have in a thorough manner, never "talking down" to you. You get the feeling that you are getting advice from a friend. I would recommend, and have recommended, Dr. Leach for anyone looking for exceptional care.
Before I received the exam with Dr. Leach, the technician performed her own exam which was very thorough. I've been to many ophthalmologists over the years and Dr. Leach was the only one who told me I had a corneal scar. He reassured me that it wasn't serious, but to be careful when removing my contacts. I knew I was in very competent hands. Everyone was so warm and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit.
The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long; though there is a wait. I had Lasik Surgery and the progress was immediate. My questions were answered.
Dr David Leach performs unnecessary and costly procedures. After being Dr Leach's patient since the early 90s, I have lost complete respect him. I needed a simple Yes or No answer about whether I could be fitted with multifocal contact lenses that they refused to answer over the phone. Dr Leach performed RK surgery on my eyes in 94, which now makes fitting contacts more difficult. Rather than admitting that he lacked the expertise to answer the question, he performed a full eye exam, charging $158, then he referred me to a contact specialists who he claims "might" be able to answer my question. Dr Leach knew in advance that he had performed the RK surgery on my eyes & would not be able to provide an answer to my question. Dr Leach refused to refund the fee he charged for performing the unnecessary eye exam. I had had a full eye exam with another optometrist 3 months earlier so I received absolutely no benefit from the redundant & unnecessary eye exam that Dr David Leach performed. I would no longer recommend Dr David Leach to anyone...
