After several visits to Dr. Carter, I have finally come to the conclusion that she’s only qualified to treat a sore throat. Except for the one time she prescribed some antibiotics, the rest of my visits have ended with her referring me to a specialist. On two occasions she ordered lab work and an x-ray, but then she referred me to other doctors. One of these doctors diagnosed me swollen joints--a simple diagnosis which Dr. Carter failed to recognize. I know GP’s aren’t supposed to know everything, but they should at least be able to recognize something as common as swelling.
