It is very disheartening to read such a review from this obviously disgruntled person. Just wondering what he will say next about the New York doctor???

Dr. Moreno is one of the best surgeons in America and has performed many miraculous spine surgeries for patients worldwide, including myself.

Do NOT Let Dr Anthony (Tony) Moreno Operate On You!!!

This is the first negative review I’ve ever posted on the internet
about anything or anyone. But if this saves one person from
going through what I’ve suffered then it’s worth it.

First of all Tony Moreno is the cockiest and most arrogant man
I think I’ve ever met. Even other local doctors and FRIENDS of his
will tell you this. That right there is enough to make you want to
turn around and run.

He performed a L4/L5/S1 double fusion on me when, come to find
out, I didn’t even need it. My problem could have been addressed
adequately by advanced physical therapy and osteopathy.

I spent 6 days in the hospital recovering and never saw him once.
The hospital he uses (Tampa General) is the absolute worst on
earth. It takes the nurses about an hour to come to your room
when you call them.

It’s been over a year now since the operation.

The surgery failed. The bones didn’t fuse. And I’m worse off now
than I was before the surgery. I’m in constant pain. And keep in
mind ... I’m only 37 years old, an athlete, and in near perfect health.

I am now having to have a much more accomplished, humble, and
experienced surgeon in NYC re-do the fusion and fix the damage
that “Dr” Moreno did.

The worst part? He won’t even see me for a follow up. Even after
sending him updated films showing clearly that my hardware is
loose/damaged and bones aren’t fused (after over a year). His
response after reviewing them was “I don’t need to see him. He’s
fine.”

Google my name. “Preston Ely”. I’m no idiot. Take my word for
it and go see the guys at http://www.sportslabnyc.com/. They’ll
keep you from having to get surgery. And if you DO need surgery,
they will connect you with the best surgeons on earth (they are NOT
in Florida, trust me). Also I would highly recommend reading the
book “Pain Free” by Pete Egoscue and seeing if they have a local
facility near you. This method has kept a LOT of my friends from
having to get surgery. Surgery should be a very very last resort
and Dr Moreno should be used only if you have a desire to make
your situation 1000x worse
