Let me tell you something. This woman should not be a doctor at all. I USED to be a patient of hers for about 2 years. Call me a glutton for punishment if you like. It took them 3 months of suffering to diagnose that I needed my gallbladder removed. It would have NEVER been diagnosed if not for her nurse/receptionist Kelly's idea that maybe i needed a hida scan. Which determined that I had a non-functioning gallbladder. So finally after 6 trips to the hospital from panic attacks and pain, ultra sounds, ct scans, x-rays and many trips to her office. I have Kelly to thank. That was 2 years ago. Fast foward to these past couple of months. I started having the panic attacks again. Went to the hospital, they gave me adivan to calm me down and told me to follow up with my primary care doctor which I did. I saw her P.A. Masha (which by the way I adore and think she is GREAT!) told her what was going on, and that the adivan was knocking me out every time I took one. So she prescribed a low dose prozac. Well 3 days into the prozac, I had the worst panic attack yet. So I called the office. I was told I could leave a message for Masha and she would get back to me. The message I left for her the tone of my voice I was frantic and terribly afraid of dying. She nor Dr Shah ever got back to me. So I made it through the day everything calmed down until later that night. I got hit really hard with it, so bad I was having suicidal thoughts. So it was back to the hospital for me. Same thing adivan and told me to follow up with Dr Shah. The next day I did. She told me she could not prescribe adivan and only a shrink can do that for me ( which I suppose is true from what I learned) so she gave a me a referral for a shrink. This was the final straw as she does NOT like to be asked questions. If she does answer them they are very quick and confusing answers. The only reason why I kept going there is because of her P.A. Masha. I went home and found a new doctor. This guy was AWESOME. He asked me many questions and we talked for about 40 minutes about my problem. He asked if I have had any digestive problems lately. I quickly answered YES. As I described to him what was going on with my stomach for the past 6 months. He nailed it. He was positive that it had to be IBS that was causing my anxiety and panic. He prescribed me some meds and I have NOT had any problems since. It's in my records at Dr Shah's office that I have had digestive problems for the past 6 months. They sent me for all kinds of scans and tests, but never found anything. I don't get why my new doctor figured it out so quickly, yet Dr Shah did not have a clue. I think she does NOT care about her patients at all. I seriously don't think she should be practicing medicine anymore. If I had stayed with her I would have went through more and more crap just like with the gallbladder. Let me end this rant by saying this. I consider myself to be a very nice person and not mean spirited at all, but stay far far away from this woman if you can. I truly do think she might kill someone, someday or probably already has.

I was very unimpressed with their level of skill. It seemed like they had just started yesterday.
The worst part of the ordeal was the staff at the Dunedin office. They were awful and had terrible attitudes like they hated their jobs. When I decided to change doctors after my lackluster experience I asked for my medical records and they refused. They gave me no reason, just refused. Since then I have found another wonderful doctor in Dunedin. My new doctors office has made two requests on the required form for my records and so far they have not been sent. These records consist of lab results I have never seen or had interpreted. I am going to have to get the State of Florida Dept. of Health involved and file a grievance to just pry my records out of their hands. By the way, I owe them no money so they are just being combative or they are just flat out dumb. Do not go to this doctor. I sure wish I had never set foot inside their door.

I love Dr. Shah! B U T, her staff leaves much to be desired. They seem disorganized, almost never have my test results ready when I come for follow up, and I spend 2 or more The phone answering is better than it used to be. At least you get a real live person most of the time now. I am always on the verge of leaving and going to another Dr. because of the long waits, etc.
