I've been a patient for over 6 years now, and while generally satisfied with my services, I began to get more and more disheartened by this practice, for multiple reasons. First, they had an outstanding receptionist years ago (Patrick also perhaps?) and when he left, so did the friendly banter and family feel as the current receptionist is all business. No big deal. But then I went in for a crown apt at 7:00 AM, leaving at close to 9:30AM and being severely late for work at that point. Dr. Sweeney took other patients while leaving me sit for long periods because his schedule was off. Then I went in for another crown and he was fitting the crown, telling me to bite on this piece of paper, and I can't feel my mouth, Apparently I was doing it wrong so he started yelling his instructions at me, repeatedly (no joke). Well I am a 41 year old professional and NO ONE yells at me, so I'm not taking it from my dentist! If I overpay, they don't issue a credit but rather 'keep it' on my account (even if hundreds), and the last straw was when the receptionist gave me a call after my last appt. to tell me I underpayed as I didn't pay what they billed me. I explained that I looked on my insurance site, saw what they were paying, and adjusted for that. She told me I was doing it wrong (offensive, and mind you, we are talking abt $8). I ignored her as I'm SURE they would send a bill if it turns out I were wrong. Never got that bill, but the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. Stay away if you care about customer service and being treated like a person.

THE WORST..MOST UNCARING..RUDEST...CONDECENDING STAFF I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I don't think they bill insurance. Correctly....Dentist is disnterested...and apparantly does not care that his staff is a snide...nasty group of people.

They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. The previous staff was exceptional, especially Dan, but the current staff makes no effort to help you coordinate with insurances and they even submit claims to bill collectors when you are in the process of getting an insurance reimbursement. Not a good experience, and not someone I would recommend to others again.

The doctor was very professional, very nice, and had an excellent way of putting everyone at ease. His office staff, however, is hands down the rudest, most condescending, most time-wasting, inefficient people I have ever had the misfortunte to deal with. THey were VERY rude about many things; the most inconvenient was telling us that they needed to give us a referral for my daughter's braces and when the time came, they said "Oh ,we don't do that." They also gave my visually impaired ex husband a difficult time about not having a cell phone. Finding a cell phone with raised numbers is very difficult; they actually spoke down to him when he said he did not have a cell phone and indicated that they thought he was lying. Apparently they would not allow him to initiate a follow up visit; they had to call him. I love Dr. Sweeney, but sadly will never set foot in that office with those horribly mannered incompetent people ever again.

Absolutely! It couldn't have been easier!

Never! They have lots of business, but they do such a great job of never overbooking.

Patrick Sweeney is an great dentist. The issue is the front desk - I went for my second cleaning of the year and the front desk stated no payment needed. The following month I receive a bill for $29 and since it was the holiday season I was going to wait until January to pay the bill. When I received the new bill in January I had a $10.00 late payment added to the bill. I paid the $29.00 and now every month since then the dentist has added a $10.00 late fee. Most dentist office charges for late fee at 10% this office is just out of control - I know the dentist doesn't need the dollars, it just the front desk adding to there pockets for their bonus money. So be aware of what the front dentist tells you and ask the dentist or the front desk what is going to be charged up front before your services are done.
