Terrible, this people only want to make money of you, that's all they care about. The assistant julio threatened me all of the sudden; he started talking that if one to sue a dentist, that will cost a lot, will require paperwork done properly, etc. Total nonsense as I wasn’t even thinking of suing anyone, forget about talking about it; he brought it up out of nowhere. I’ve been with Altamonte Springs office for many years. Last visit, for re-cementing crown on temporary cement they charged me $219. Dr Harrison told me that this crown is not good anymore, need to put in new crown at $955. I went to another dentist, who for $50 visit, showed me ex-ray and explained that crown is good, he can re-use it, but probably need a root canal, prescribed antibiotic to calm pain down while I am searching for root canal specialist. I then wandered why Dr. Harrison did not mention antibiotics, my friend told me probably he wanted me to go crazy with pain so I’ll pay him new crown. Terrible, terrible, I feel being cheated and abused, especially by julio, who shows you paperwork, and when you ask him for some discounted plan, re runs out with the paperwork and run in back with other paperwork, not giving you chance to look at both papers and take a minute to think about options. He is very frustrated, and I know why- he doesn’t make nearly enough as doctor makes. And that shows in his attitude. All this happens while you being in pain, btw. But who cares in this office?

I had an exceptional experience at Coast Dental. Dr. Harrison and his staff were extremely professional. I had over 5 fillings in one day, felt no pain the next day. They work with your insurance to provide you with the best plan. Most of all, the courtesy, cleanliness and smiles would make me going back.

This place should be illegal. Avoid at all cost.

I was looking for a new dentist and visited two prior to seeing Coast Dental. I was told by the other dentists that I needed a deep cleaning and everything else looked fine -- I usually see the dentist every six months, and my teeth are in good shape.

Well, Coast Dental told me that I needed two crowns and when I asked why no decay was apparent on the x-ray, they told me that x-rays weren't always accurate. Secondly, they told me I needed to spend $1200 for their root scaling cleaning and would need to see them every three months instead of my routine six. My cleanings at other dentists are free, but Coastal wants to charge $187 per cleaning.

The state really needs to shut these people down.
