At first, seeing Dr. Bantly was a pleasant experience. I told him my needs, and he prescribed medication. However, after calling the office to cancel an appt. because my son was very sick, the receptionist (Shiela) got very short with me and told me that I have a $130.00 cancellation fee coming to my home for missing the 30 min. appt. This was only my second time every canceling in two years, but the receptionist literally lied, telling me that I had canceled several times before. I knew that this was not true, so she said she would pull my charts to tell me the dates, but never did. She instead chose to try to argue with me over the phone. Keep in mind that this "fee" is written nowhere in the paperwork, which she even admitted. Please be careful as they are clearly only about getting your money.

Dr. Bantly is top notch! I've visited others in their field and I rate this one as #1. I can't think of anything I would have changed about the way the appointment went. Dr. Bantly is a pleasure to work with! The time and money spent was so worth it. They are completely committed to helping me as long as it takes to find the best solution. I never have to worry that they'll back out or give up if a solution isn't reached immediately. What a great group of people to work with! The staff was sharp, knowledgeable and helpful.

Bantly is the best mental health professional I've seen and by far the best psychiatrist. His office is free from advertisements from pharmaceutical companies(a good sign) and he does not give you a questionnaire to fill out to diagnose you(he will ask questions/talk to you face-to-face about your issues). He does not try to rush you out of the office.

I truly believe this guy is one of the best in his fields. He was able to diagnose (not officially) with cyclothymia(similar to bipolar). Before this, I had been told I had depression and social phobia. Going in I knew I needed to be rediagnosed, but I thought I might have adhd or aspergers(mild autism). Looking back, cyclothymia was probably a major factor all along and he was the first one to suggest I might have it after a brief visit.

He knows a lot about the small differences between medications and does a good job explaning them. He will tell you how to get your medications to cheapest if you have no insurance. Bantly also considers diet/lifestyle as part of your mental wellness.

Dr. Bantly is an exceptional psychiatrist. Not only is he a well respected expert in his field - but his in-depth knowledge of medicine in general and his particular acumen for medicines and their possible interactions make him an invaluable ally in the fight with bipolar disorder. After years of floundering from extreme to extreme or being so drugged that I could barely function, Dr. Bantly found the unique chemistry of my bipolar disorder, and I am now healthy and very stable. He always answers all my questions and goes above and beyond to always be available if I think of any more questions or have some other need. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are warm and professional and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them.
