I read with some amusement a review which blasted Zimmerman as "an arrogant Man". Pull up your big boy pants and get a grip! I have had an ongoing professional relationship with Dr. Zimmermamn for the past 13 years, encompassing some 8-9 advanced procedures. I believe that he is the difference between me being able to walk and sprouting wheels. He is not your Mother. Go to her if you need coddling. He is there to repair the damage to your body, and remember...he didn't cause it! The current health system is such that our Physicians are not able to take a leisurely approach to an office visit, yet I have always felt that Z heard and responded to whatever were my concerns or questions. Put yourself on his schedule before you deem him too "abrupt". Most mornings he's in sugery by 7:30AM doing the most demanding procedures possible...sometimes several in a day. Then scheduled office visits twice a week and of course daily rounds for his continuing surgical patients. Couple that with the fact that if you get really messed up in an accident, he's the go to Guy no matter that it's 2AM. And, you better hope he's the one on call! He is also heralded as one of the top 100 Neurosurgeons in the U.S. My feeling is that we in Boise are very lucky to have someone with his skill and commitment. If you really want to know who the good Docs are...ask the Nursing Staff. I have. Without exception he is the best in their view. Does this mean his personality will mesh with everyone? No. I have a wonderful relationship with him, but...I know this may come as a surprise...not everyone appreciates my personality either! I see him as having a great sense of compassion, a dry sense of humor, and a dedication to be the best in his craft. I have never experienced less from him.. If you want the services of the best Neurosurgeon period...see Dr. Z. If you want to be coddled...go visit Mom.

I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. I felt that they really valued my health and happiness because they followed up even after my appointment just to check up on me. It was such a nice gesture that made a huge difference. It is so refreshing to see a provider that you can tell truly cares about their appearance. They strive to maintain a professional appearance and look their best at all times.
