My wife went for flu shot for my son. Flu shot is covered by my insurance so I thought I will not be paying but to my surprise, I got a invoice of 178 USD. When I checked with their billing department, I was told that it is new patient charge for which we were not told when we book the appointment or during the visit. To my surprise my insurance told that they charged as physical so when I checked with the billing department then I was told that thats how they charge new patient fees and if I don't pay then they will send this to collector and it will hit my credit history. When I asked why was I not informed about it then then they didn't had any answer other then kept saying that you should know that when you go first time, you will be charged !!!!
In summary, no issues with doctor during the visit but you should get it in written on the charges if you are visiting.

Not at all! They give my child exactly what he/she needs
