Dr. Lisa Franco is one of THE worst physicians we have EVER taken our child to or dealt with !! To us she's been arrogant, argumentative, condescending, does not listen well or take you seriously, and argues with what you as a parent already know to be true about your child and their medical history and what they're prone to and similar symptoms they've had before!! She will argue and argue with you, constantly TALKING OVER YOU like you're nothing!! She's incompetent in our opinion! It's dangerous to have a sick child and not be taken seriously by one of their Drs.!! She shows up for your child's exam appointments dressed in all her finery, high heels, latest fashions head to toe, and giant bling, like all she cares about is her high income and indulging herself -- NOT a dedicated, serious pediatrician that you'd want taking care of your precious, sick child. She's NOT warm, caring, compassionate or friendly, but abrupt, impatient, cranky and business-like. Our child was ill with a high fever for several days, and she argued and REFUSED to give him antibiotics, saying it hadn't been a week yet, and there was NO WAY (paraphrasing) she was going to give him antibiotics until it was at LEAST a week, because it was "just a virus"!! I called there TWICE during the week, after his Dr. appt., saying his fever wasn't going down, he's got dark yellow mucous, short of breath, he has a HISTORY of these kind of infections and was always treated for them before, he's been out of school for a WEEK now, and he says he's feeling WORSE!! -- her response was, Nope! It's just a virus, this is normal(!!) for a virus (argumentative, talking OVER me!!, surly, immovable no matter what I told her about our child, impatient with me, like I just didn't understand!!), it's NOT a bacterial infection Mrs.----, and we WON'T give him any antibiotics for at LEAST a week!!---She never even suggested we bring our child back in for another check-up if he's feeling worse, in case the illness did get worse!! Well, our child continued complaining about feeling sicker, so we brought him back in anyway the day after she said "no", bringing him to a different Dr. at the same practice, and SURE ENOUGH they said yes, he's got not only an infection, but it's STREP, and it's in his throat, his ears and sinuses!! At least this Dr. finally, now, (NOT she!!) gave him a prescrip. of a strong, full-spectrum antibiotic!! But now he won't be going back to school for an even LONGER time!! (And the school's already been calling about why he's been out for so long!!). Dr. Lisa Franco is a terrible physician, in our opinion, and SURLY to you on top of it, and more concerned about what she's wearing !!-- take your child to a different Dr. if you want competent, respectful, serious-minded care! There are other, GOOD pediatricians in the same practice there: Dr. Dan Campbell (really good, and also a cardiologist),
Dr. Nafeesa Moosabhoy (good but not as"warm"), and Dr. Kathy Peshek-Campbell.

Peshek-Campbell. Unfortunately, these good Drs. are frequently either already booked or not in that day. What we have related here is true.
