While the office is clean and the staff helpful, this dentist has a somewhat cold approach on handling scared children. I went there and spoke with her for approx forty five minutes, in an interview style meeting. She will not allow a parent in the back, even to hold the child's hand. She also stated that she frequently used restraints. (Of course this is with parental approval). I was shocked to hear her say that and the manner in which she said it. She said she was successful with children, but I will not be sending my son there. There is something wrong with a dentist that will not allow a child to be comforted.
My daugther was 4 years old when she needed a tooth extraction. After meeting with Dr. Carr, I felt she was competent and trusted her recommendations, demonstrated a vested interest in my child , & had a warm, loving, relaxed disposition. The extraction was a success. My daughter did not cry or express anxiety. Actually, she was excited about losing her first tooth and getting a visit from the toothfair that night. The tooth extraction was five years ago. Because of the positive first experience with Dr. Carr, my daughter ENJOYS going to the dentist. Thank you Dr. Carr and your loving staff.
I love how dr carr and her staff work together so well. They have such great personalities to work with children. My son has so much fun when he's there.
We had a horrible experience at this place. My daughter is only 3 and I was in the waiting room waiting for her to get her theet clean, while they were holding my daughter down screeming and vomiting on the back and they didn't call me untill it got very bad. My daughter hates going to dentist now because of that place. We would NEVER go back there.
