Everyone is always nice and attentive and talk to you beyond the Doctor/Patient relationship. The cutting edge technology and text/email reminders are also a big plus. I've always been nervous at the dentist office but not since starting to go to your office a couple of years ago.

It was a difficult procedure. But I really appreciated Dr. Bahu's patience and willingness to explore different options of completing the procedure successfully.

I would never visit them again. They told me I had nine cavities and needed all of my fillings replaced. I went for a second and third opinions. No cavities - no repalcement fillings needed. He is a rip-off artist.

March 12, 2011 - I realized that I made the worst decision of my life a year ago. I was trying to find the best dentist possible - and was recommended to Dr. Ramy Bahu of Aesthetic & Reconstructive Dental Associates. In my opinion, he performed unnecessary dental work on my teeth, for which I paid more than $4,000.

All I wanted was to get a thorough teeth cleaning. And, after the end of the exam, he told me I needed more than a dozen fillings because my teeth were decayed. I was distraught, and asked if there was anything else besides fillings that could be done. He said no - that fluoride treatments would not work for me. I asked how bad the decay really was. He said if I didn’t treat it now, they would get worse over time. I realize now, that he never answered my question directly.

Looking at the pictures of my teeth that they took, it only looked like I had maybe 1 or 2 cavities at the most - but Dr. Bahu said I had tooth decay underneath my sealants, which I couldn’t even tell in most cases.

I have been going to a dentist twice a year for the past 25-30 years, and no one ever told me I should get more than a dozen fillings. Less than 1 year later, I find that one of my fillings chipped away and my tooth had staining in it. It hurt to drink warm water and eat.

I asked Bahu how this could have happened less than 1 year after I first received the fillings. He said it was due to grinding my teeth. He informed me that I had a teeth grinding problem before he put fillings in my teeth. So, why would he recommend such extensive fillings in my entire mouth if he knew I had a grinding problem, that could cause these fillings to chip away? I told him that I do not grind my teeth during the day, and that I wear a mouth guard at night, which his office also sold to me.

I am worried that I will have even more problems with fillings for the rest of my life. I cannot drink anything cold or eat ice cream because they make my teeth hurt. I am afraid to eat strawberries and raspberries because the seeds get stuck in my teeth and hurt.

I am afraid to eat hard foods like nuts because I’m worried that my fillings will break. I will have to deal with these problems for the rest of my life. There are so many foods that I will never be able to eat.

I showed another dentist pictures of what my teeth looked like before the fillings were placed, and he said there was decay on only 1 or 2 teeth, which he would have recommended getting fixed. He said he would not have done fillings on the entire 14 -16 teeth, because he said that was extreme and not necessary. He also stated that I was taken advantage of.

I no longer trust Ramy Bahu to tell me the truth about the real condition of my teeth. I am afraid to have him work on my teeth anymore, because he recommended unnecessary dental work in the first place. My teeth are much worse now than they were before the fillings.

Originally, he said he would treat any complications of the fillings for free, as long as I did regular checkups with him. One year later, he said that any problems would be fixed for only up to 5 years. Before I got the fillings, there was never any time limit discussed. Bahu also had not properly discussed any of the complications before he put the fillings in. I was completely unprepared to deal with the difficult adjustments and repeated doctor visits that were necessary.

This situation has made be very depressed at the thought that I will have even more problems with my teeth now, than if they had been left alone. This is also causing me a lot of damage to my mental health and my ability to perform my job. Those are tremendous lifetime sacrifices to make, just so Ramy Bahu could make $4,000. I would give anything to get my old teeth back, but it is too late.

At the very least, this amounts to insurance fraud, if not dental malpractice. Ramy Bahu is an extremely unethical dentist.
